If Ben Wallace has a dictionary to hand, he might just check the meaning of “delusional,” ( the word you used the other day, Mark), a better fit here, than glitch. In other words, the malfunction is in his mind, not the Russian bomber…

The Russians openly admitted that the UK plane was in international airspace. But as another commenter pointed out, that was part of the message.
