The collective West is in a tizzy over the prospect of the residents of heavily Russian oblasts that were formerly part of Ukraine voting to join the Russian Federation. Those residents have had enough of Ukrainian nationalists trying to force them into second class citizenship just because they’re Russian speakers—along with about 40% of former Ukraine. That’s not democratic, it’s sham! cry the collective West.
What is democracy in the collective West? There’s a remarkable video going around—I’ve seen it at Tom Luongo’s blog as well as Rod Dreher’s and other places. I’ll excerpt from Luongo, because he has a lot of over good things to say—including the godlessness at the root of the collective West:
It’s no secret at this point that the EU is an anti-democratic organization. The leadership isn’t elected, but selected from a pre-determined pool of candidates from within the Party structure.
Everyone with the power to make a decision was placed there not by popular vote but by backroom collusion.
As we approach this weekend’s Italian elections there is real despair in the air that there is any light out of this dark time. That no matter what decisions we try to make, they are only in service of those that seek total dominion.
And yet all you hear from these Eurocrats is that we are in a “war of Democracy versus Autocracy,” …
EU values! But this sounds a lot like the America the Uniparty wants to put in place, too.
European Values is a phrase that is synonymous with the phrase “rules-based order.” We make the rules, they say, and you abide by them. We’re allowed to break those rules because 1) we can and 2) we are the goodies.
Submit. Or else.
Italy will be voting this weekend and the likely result will be something like a landslide for the Brothers of Italy—in Italy they’re considered Right or Populist. Don’t ask me to parse that. Alternatively they’re referred to as Neo-Fascist, Far Right, Conservative, Nationalist, and so forth. In other words, beyond the pale of polite EU society.
German globalists are therefore warning Italians that “We have ways of dealing with you.” Really. The actual quote isn’t much more nuanced than that:
Corrupted unelected bureacurat Von der Leyen threatens the Italians: “We will see the result of the vote in Italy. If things go in a difficult direction, we have tools, as in the case of Poland and Hungary.” This is called meddling in elections.
We have tools? Don’t crush those Italians, hand me the pliers!
That’s democracy, comrades, and if you don’t like it we have tools!
And don’t forget: Putin is a thug.
We will all be part of the Borg!
The EU has one tool, a sixteen pound sledgehammer, very unwieldy for most constructive uses, but very effective for destruction.
