Casualties were all Black, and included 2 females. Reserve unit.

My condolences to their families.

Drone hit a container being used for housing.

I wonder how hardened the container was. Was it surrounded by Earth Berms, or surrounded by a drone cage?

I’m hearing more rumors it was actually in Syria.

And will these deaths have a racial political impact? I feel a bit crass asking, but with this administration everything is racial, unfortunately.

The Duran had a terrifying comment:

The U.S. is seen as unreliable and unstable, and by Russia as an outright enemy.

"...So, if you want Israel to survive--I certainly do..."

I have no feelings one way or another if Israel survives. It seems the article doesn't make a strong case as why I would favor their existence, given how they seemingly run U.S. foreign policy poorly as well as public opinion....not to mention the vast majority of the world deplores the Gazan genocide.

The Netanyahus, the Boltons, the Nulands of our government do not have the best interests of normal people who only want to live their lives in peace.

I always saw Israel as essential safe haven for Jews from persecution. Now I believe that Jews are safer in other countries - even Germany. Israel is doomed unless it's leaders follow Col M's advice.

I believe that if you go into the history in depth the result that emerges is that the original Zionist project wasn't really based on the idea of Israel as a safe haven per se. It was more the progeny of European nationalism and the idea that Jews, like other nations, needed a homeland. The early Zionists were open to other locations on other continents. Yes, those ideas might seem related, but no one in those heady days after the Jewish Emancipation foresaw the Holocaust. The idea of Israel as a safe have per se really only arose after WW2.

The Zionist project has always been daft--both as an ideology as well as in a practical sense. It arose as a fundamentally colonialist and racial project that was imposed by radical European Jews on the Jewish population that was already living in Palestine in something like comity with the Arabs. Ben Gurion and the rest of that crowd never made much of a secret of their ethnic cleansing goal--as well as their imperial ambitions.

Mike Lee @BasedMikeLee

There is no “Iran is bad” exception to the Constitution.

If we’re going to war, Congress must declare it.

What does this mean? Beyond the obvious fact that Congress has outsourced its authority.

"Joe Biden will authorize U.S. military action in the Middle East"

"As early as tonight, Joe Biden will authorize U.S. military action in the Middle East, in what will be one of the most consequential decisions of his Presidency" - Sky News reported.

So what does SkyNews know that we don’t? “As early as tonight”?

Remember the scene in the Hunt For Red October where the cocky Russian submarine Commander miscalculated and wound up getting hit by a torpedo? Just before the torpedo hits he is admonished by a subordinate, “You ignorant ass, you have killed us all”! Biden may do the same thing with the United States.

You neocon clowns monitoring this post. A demented old fool being handled by a bunch of incompetent amateurs, what could possibly go wrong?

As one of my old employers used to say, “We may live through this but we won’t look the same”!

Yes, who is Joe Biden? What kind of military action will he authorize? And just how does the U.S. Congress fit into this? Or is their acceptance of what the newest "Tail Gunner Joe" decides already built in? Too bad we don't have a free press to inform us of these things.

I expect a few dozen Tomahawks to hit dark, shadowy, mountainsides with lots of dust while pissing off the local camel jockeys.

"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first Bidonic man. Joe Biden will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster." - DNC, 2020

Sorry. "If you can't laugh, cry."
