I think it was George Orwell who said that the fastest way to stop a war is to surrender. The only recourse for the neocons is to call it quits, tell the world they won, and move on to the next project while the MSM gives covering fire. Nuland et al have created the NWO they sought; it's just not the one they wanted.

Only way out of this is to negotiate new NATO borders. Pre-Clinton is Russia proposal. US needs to offer compromise to that. Only way this will end peacefully.

Can you imagine the neocons doing that? Me neither.

Right. If they were the kind who could do that — negotiate new NATO borders — they never would have gotten into this mess in the first place. Negotiating new NATO borders would be acknowledging and respecting Russia’s legitimate security interests, but we’ve spent years and years deliberately doing the exact opposite, until at last it gets to Ukraine, the last straw. After all the billions of dollars spent, all the meddling, all the color revolutions, all the propaganda and phony moral outrage over unprovoked invasion, I can’t imagine them admitting to being wrong about any of it.

It would be like Hitler agreeing to go kosher. That's why nothing will be resolved sanely with the current bunch we have in the West. Their lack of critical thinking will doom them as "feelz" increasingly meets "realz".

OT, but would someone explain to me how Breitbart can be saying that polls are showing Biden and Trump dead even? Oh, wait, I forgot about the 81,000,000 who voted for Zhou. Never mind.

Polls are like voting counts. Not what they seem.

G' Sunday Mark and MIH followers!

V. Orban, I believe, has accurately centered cause and cure in the referenced Tucker Carlson interview: "If United States would like to have a peace, next morning there is a peace." ..."The solution is in the hand of your president. No one but you will solve it. The United States can do it. Nobody else. it's not the solution for the Ukrainians. Of course it's about Ukrainians, they cannot be neglected, they must be involved, but the real factor is not Ukraine. The real factor is intention of United States."

Nuland et al the 'Neocon-cabal' maybe running this behind the curtain, but the actual authority is in the President's hands. Mr. Orban nails, again, a hard truth (not referenced in this post) that President Trump would be the necessary answer.

Sadly, 1/2 of the US electorate vote "D" no matter who or the consequences. "Abortion! Gender Fluidity-choice! Me-Me-Me first!" and all made possible by 'simply' removing God's reality from their minds. Solomon noted, "There's nothing new" in man's original-sinful nature making it's return. Keep God 1st, dear friends, our country may become a smoldering, radio-active wasteland but He is Eternal and has provided for us in His Son. Blessings, (WrH)

I would change that to half the votes counted…

I’m wondering how many actual voters.

It seems the Russians are playing a cat/mouse came with Ukraine. They haven't even started to play hard. What kind of BS is the world be told. What is the real truth. The War Gods need to answer our questions, truthfully, but will they.

It’s a false comparison, since Arab Armies are known to be 3rd rate. Conscripts managed by officers that got their positions due to a bribe, or family.

Russia as pointed out in the Tucker / Col Mcgregor interview has reformed / rebuilt their army and is continuing to improve with new technology/ equipment. The US has degraded their military since the 90’s, and has not been innovating since the end of the cold war. The same equipment is being used with minor improvements.

SIMPLICIUS has a fascinating comparison of the NCOs / officer debate. Basically Russia has given more authority / autonomy at a smaller formation level. Wow!

Ok Dave , but I don’t see Russia being happy with NATO staying in place.

I think your first premise is the one Putin favors. He has no reason to be in a hurry, I mean after all, the “horrible sanctions” have done nothing but help him and played havoc with the West at every turn. And for all practical purposes, the longer this thing goes on the more perilous the situation becomes for Ukraine, the US and its allies, while helping Putin’s position.

US diplomacy is virtually nonexistent and with a buffoon play acting as President, there’s absolutely no chance of a brilliant decision snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Nope, more likely, Nuland and her ilk will continue to double down on a strategy that has proven to be as useless as Joe Biden’s attempt to master the teleprompter. At the end of the day, they’re position will be so completely untenable that they will face the most humiliating defeat that the country has ever seen. That is, of course, unless they go totally off the rails and decide to go nuclear. “And now is the winter of our discontent”….but there won’t be any “glorious spring” to look forward to. Sad times these.

I would be very surprised if Russia supported a PRC peace-keeping force in rump-Ukraine. Putin is showing world-class 'deal' skills. His response to Turkey / Erdogan is master-class level: (https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/putin-tells-erdogan-russia-will-rejoin-grain-deal-if-sanctions-eased-swift-reconnected)

Russian grain to the needy in Africa for free, but get back into SWIFT (with likely follow-on legalities to recover 'liberated' funds back to Russia), and removal of agricultural sanctions on Russia. Deal parameters on display. Russia will 'with difficulty' counter western positions with piecemeal openings that appear as concessions from Russia, when in fact they are offers to western weakness & desperation, and come at very big prices. The Russian-West-Ukraine war positions = Western position to Russia) hurry up and break-apart; Russian response) everything we said in December 2021 + Eastern contiguous former Ukraine along the sea-lanes + SWIFT re-engagement, assets returned, Nordstream repaired, probably also US out of Syria. Russia has *all* of the leverage. Italy and Turkey will support offers that get them energy commits outside of the EU; Germany may come to their senses, but could require a cold winter to bring in reality of how awful is the energy path they are on. Even a nuke escalation (God forfend) disfavor the West - the public outcry would be for the ages, and no tamping down conspiracy / false flag claims in our present low trust public environment. Trump will increasingly leverage the Ukraine tragedy, and it will get purchase in public response

Brilliant! Afghanistan! I'm sure Putin would agree to a ceasefire in place and even be persuaded to issue a statement admitting that he couldn't pull off a win, on condition that his forces stay where they are, and maybe a concession on NATO presence. Our media would take care of the rest.

I believe he's referencing a remark that Zhou made recently. The idea is that Israel doesn't receive security guarantees from the US like a NATO member, but it gets lots of money and other security related aid/coop. So the idea would be to establish a similar deal with Ukraine. The flaw, of course, is that Russia has a say.
