Pew Research has done a study on attitudes toward a range of Covid Regime measures—injections, masks, human contact avoidance, etc. Zerohedge has run a summary of the findings:
New Survey Reveals Significant Doubts About Masks And Vaccines
In line with that title, Zerohedge leads with the pretty obvious conclusion: Despite two years of incessant and heavy handed Establishment/Ruling Elite propaganda and outright coercion (government at all levels, medical establishment at all levels, MSM, social media, banning of contrary opinions, mandates, firings), the only category that was able to muster over 50% as “effective” was for the injections—it goes progressively down from there. And of course, there’s the whole question: What are these views based on?
Asked to look back at the pandemic and assess public health recommendations aimed at limiting Covid-19 spread, only about half of Americans now think masks and vaccines have been very effective or extremely effective.
That's the finding of a new Pew Research survey of more than 10,000 adults, which provides insights into Americans' thinking about many aspects of the pandemic.
Only 48% think "wearing masks around other people indoors" has been extremely or very effective; 23% give masks a lukewarm "somewhat effective" grade. Defying two years of public health preaching, 28% say they're either "not too" or "not at all effective."
…
Given rampant breakthrough infections and a regime that's pushing fourth injections on people, it's not surprising that just 55% of Americans say vaccines have been extremely or very effective in limiting Covid spread. Indeed, it's a testament to the public health apparatus and its major media stenographers that the number isn't lower—yet.
Here’s the first chart—it’s kind of a key summary:
Notice a couple of things. First, there’s a hard core at least a quarter of respondents who say, flat out: It’s all BS. Second, What’s the story with the “Somewhat” people? These are basically people who are hedging their bets. If a new study were to come out that conclusive proves that injections are effective, they’d be able to say: Well, I always thought they might be. OTOH, if contrary negative conclusions came out, they’d say: Well, I never thought that they were all that effective. Ask yourself: How many of these “Somewhat” people do you think would be inclined to keep getting injected, while all the breakthroughs are going on? These considerations simply reinforce the conclusion that the full court pro-injection press was actually remarkably ineffective.
As for the lockdowns, especially of schools, most of the country is unhappy—”serious concerns” is code language for, They’re POed:
Americans have serious concerns about the effect of the pandemic and public health interventions on schoolchildren: 62% say that too little priority has been given to meeting the educational needs of K-12 students.
Over the course of the pandemic and its associated school closures, Americans have witnessed not only severe "learning loss," but also sharp increases in juvenile anxiety, depression and suicide attempts. Even when schools opened for in-person instruction, the damage to learning continued with the pointless masking of children, which impedes communication and harms social interactions.
When asked to evaluate "public health officials, such as those at the CDC," only about half of Americans say they've done an excellent or good job.
In a kind of crossover consideration, I saw some stats last night. Only about 5% of little kids have been injected. That tells you that no matter what, parents know—almost universally—that this is all BS.
Now, about those attitudes regarding public health officials?
Attitudes differ sharply by political orientation: 72% of Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents say public health officials have done an excellent or good job, compared to just 29% of Republicans and Republican-leaners.
What we actually need here is a nice color coded map.I’m gonna tell you that, as a geographical matter, these results would look very much like a county by county presidential election map. The gullible people are located in highly concentrated areas. Here’s what I mean by gullible:
What jumps out at you immediately is that Republicans started out just as concerned as anyone else and just as approving of emergency measures. But something seems to have happened. I’m guessing that Republicans started following the data and reading up on the science—and thinking it over. Dems followed the herd instincts as dictated to them from above, and nothing has shifted them yet. Not even “rampant breakthrough infections” and wildly disproportionate numbers of healthy people dropping dead after getting injected.
My suspicion is that this may be just the tip of the iceberg. Call these findings a proxy for distrust of the ruling class. That’s healthy.
I'm as suspicious of the safety and effectiveness of covid vaccines as any one...and while I accepted two moderna jabs in early 2021, I have not taken a booster and have no plans to...I'm planning to rely on my very own immune system if I'm ever infected...even though at age 72 I guess I'm in a higher risk demographic...
Having said all that, I have read that the vax often reduces the severity of symptoms for those infected and also, statistically, reduces the frequency of hospitalization...and perhaps even mortality? I mention the foregoing only in the interest of getting both sides of the story out...
What those stats tell me is that a large portion of Americans will go right back to all the BS once Fall arrives. Gutless.
