The neocons haven't learnt that it's not good optics to lose two wars at once. Neither have they grasped the fact that, as you state, China and Russia now have each other's back.

I know it's only February, but can I already submit my entry for the Understatement of the year" competition? "There are worries too, that the Ukraine war is contributing to a serious weakening of America’s standing in the world."

"We have met the enemy, and he is us." These words of wisdom from Pogo sum up the current situation. Washington is divided into hawks and hawks. Both sides probably agree that the deplorables don't count for much. The deplorables for their part don't put much stock in Washington. So once Washington figures out who they want to fight, they will have to figure out how to have their little war and maintain an economy too without the deplorables.

The deep state or whatever you want to call it want a war very badly and the plan is for the US to loose that way the last place kind of holding out in the western countries is brought into the globalist fold and we then become slaves for the elite. Their is allot of Con Inc pushing hard on the so called China threat most of all Bannon and his minions who are financed by the deep state Chinese (look up Miles Gau). Throughout history the deep state always had a country or race that they told the masses was the cause of all their problems believe it or not but Europe was at peace with Islam when Charlamagne was in charge of the empire and trade was flourishing it took some time but the deep state in Venice was able to turn that around and get both sides fighting thus the start of the Crusades

I pray cooler head prevail and the US is spared this fate

To wit, Washington’s admonition (1796) to steer clear of foreign political intrigue (European)…as it will generate division and corruption and endanger the survival of the republic…and here we are!

What should be a basic concern of all of us is that along with the exposure Thomas L notes of the military hegemon not being quite all it was promoted to be but the financial hegemon that WAS being exercised also isn't what it was cracked up to be either. Both will be subject to realignment (as in largely diminished and universally weak). If we citizens thought the ongoing spending-spree inflation has been painful, we haven't seen nothin' yet.

Our spiritual debasement (woke-ism on steroids, for example) will be of no value or usefulness in the reality-check coming. The lost couple of generations of recent 'college graduates' who cry over having to work more than 25 hours a week - and have to leave their parents basement to do that - will be of no value standing up for those antiquated Traditional American Values that made America really a leader of the world. Seems I've gotten stuck on being Mr. Gloom lately. (WRH)

Unfortunately for the delusional hawks of all kinds.... IT'S ALL OVER. ----The NATO/US response in UKRAINE pulled the curtain back on the Wonderful Wizard Globalist Monopolar Hegemon and it turned out to be an impotent old man in a wheel chair screaming empty threats. "Russia or China first?" Don't be ridiculous. The main problem Russia and China have is how to manage the spectacularly sudden collapse of the West so the arrogant morons in charge don't do something stupid as their keylight goes out and they are moved off center stage.

That's good and bad news: on the one hand, it limits the size of their conventional armed forces size; on the other, it pushes them to use more "direct" military methods.

Somewahat O/T: You mentioned soccer. Now football: the NFL Players Assoc is advsing players be tested for heart inflammation (myo/peri-carditis) following Hamlin cardiac arrest. So it begins…when a jouro asked Hamlin what his docs told him, he declined comment. Must be due to a big check…

Latest news is that the authorities knew about the cancer risks of Zantac--for 40 years. I knew a guy who took lots of Zantac and died from esophogeal cancer in his 50s.

Exactly my attitude. It’s too easy to be warmongering if your only combat experience is edited movies or video games.

Scott Ritter used the word “evil” when describing our generals (namely Milley) and the vicious and demented Nuland-Sullivan-Blinken trio on the most recent Napolitano video Mark posted. And Congress (you too Hawley!) is MIA. And old Joe is shuffling off to Poland. That can’t be good.
