iPhone. Seems a limited issue. Other posts are working fine. Replying now did not force me to the app.

History Speaks @History__Speaks

Onlyfans majority-owner Leonid Radvinsky, who gets a 'cut' of his employees' sex work earnings (I believe we call that a "pimp"), is the top recent donor to @AIPAC . Since 7 Oct, Radvinsky pledged $11 million to help AIPAC lobby US lawmakers on behalf of Israel.

Hmmm. What do we call people who take money from a pimp?

“What's especially disturbing is the deliberate cruelty the Israelis appear to enjoy inflicting on Palestinians.”

Israel’s policy is eerily reminiscent of Germany’s policy during WWII in Eastern Europe. Murder 100 civilians for every German soldier killed.

Just heard Mearsheimer make the following live statement--this is a paraphrase, since it was live, but it's very close:

The Israelis pay no attention to the rules of war and do pretty much anything they want to do, knowing that the US will have their back. What's especially disturbing is the deliberate cruelty the Israelis appear to enjoy inflicting on Palestinians. There appears to be a joy in the cruelty and evil acts.

These events in the Middle East, like others in the last few years have highlighted how wrong many of us were (myself included) about the true nature of our federal government. Past images of the US as the "shining city on the hill" were sadly mistaken and we need to recognize what a dark and malevolent force we have become regarding our foreign interactions. We are supporting (aiding and abetting) genocide in Gaza for Christ's sake!

It's obvious that many of our elected representatives have no moral compass whatsoever. As you stated above Mark, " Certainly shame or human decency played no role" in forcing the Neocons to back away from their support of Israel in Gaza.

I guess the first step in the recovery of our country is to recognize and admit that the problem exists. Does it ever!! It seems that the next step may be to try to wake up others to the cold reality and hopefully make them see it with their own eyes. I hear talk of another Great Awakening. I hope that's where we are headed.

Nothing stiffens the backbone of a politician to do the right thing, like seeing the chance of a winnable election slipping away.
