Catching Up With Covid 10/25/22

I try to keep track of Covid stories, and lately there have been some fairly compelling articles. Here’s a compilation—just a reminder that this greatest of all deliberately inflicted public health disasters is still with us. It’s still a disaster and it’s still deliberately inflicted. Nevertheless, people are catching on, and this may be one of those unspoken issues in the upcoming midterms. As always, follow the links:

Less Than 1 In 100 Million Chance That COVID-19 Has Natural Origin: New Study

A new study on the origins of the pandemic, “Endonuclease fingerprint indicates a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV2,” published on the preprint server bioRxiv, concludes that it is highly likely that the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 originated in a laboratory. The odds of a natural origin, according to the study, are placed at less than 1 in 100 million.

Significantly, the new study does not rely on any of the known evidence pointing toward a lab origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. For instance, it does not take into consideration the highly unusual Furin Cleavage Site that makes the virus particularly virulent and which it is widely thought to have been inserted into the virus at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Nor does it factor in the huge coincidence that the pandemic started on the door steps of the world’s premier coronavirus laboratory

Instead, the authors—Valentin Bruttel, a molecular immunologist at the University of Würzburg in Germany; Alex Washburne, a mathematical biologist at Selva Science; and Antonius VanDongen, a pharmacologist at Duke University—took a novel approach that assesses the genesis of the SARS-CoV-2 virus from an entirely new angle. The authors examined tiny fingerprints left behind in the process in which viruses are assembled in laboratories. While use of seamless genetic engineering techniques in creating viruses in laboratories typically conceals evidence of manipulation, the new study developed a statistical process for uncovering such hidden evidence by comparing the distribution of certain strands of genetic code in wild viruses and lab-made viruses. 

Report: COVID-19 Led to Major Setback in Students’ Grades, Test Scores Across the Country

The latest national report from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), commonly known as “the nation’s report card,” reveals the full devastating extent of COVID-19 lockdowns on the nation’s education system, with students across the country seeing a significant drop in grades and test scores.

According to the Associated Press, math scores saw the largest decrease in recent history, with four out of ten eighth-graders failing to grasp basic math concepts. In addition, average reading scores dropped to their lowest levels since 1992. No state saw an improvement in academic performance.

… politicians and officials the world over made enormous and obvious errors, just not later but from the outset. This is not really worth arguing any more. The evidence is now 2.5 years deep. Insisting on 85 percent coverage of an ineffective vaccine was also an egregious error because people are not stupid and knew that they did not need this vaccine, especially since it protects not against infection or transmission and its approval bypassed all normal standards of clinical trials.

Where are the apologies? Sorry seems to be the hardest word. Faced with enormous failure, the machinery that did this to us has generally refused to say the simple word. It’s the hardest thing for people with power to admit their fallibility. Even though the whole world knows what they did and vast and increasing numbers are aware of the utter failure, the political class still insists on living in a fantasy land of its own creation.

There are exceptions.

A Closer Look at the Covid Mortality Rate

One of the most consistent efforts made by “experts” during the early stages of the pandemic was to attempt to impress on the public that COVID was an extremely deadly disease.

We know the reality. This is it:

The researchers broke down the demographics into smaller buckets, showing the increase in risk amongst older populations, and conversely, how infinitesimal the risk was amongst younger age groups.

• Ages 60-69, fatality rate 0.501%, survival rate 99.499%

• Ages 50-59, fatality rate 0.129%, survival rate 99.871%

• Ages 40-49, fatality rate 0.035% survival rate 99.965%

• Ages 30-39, fatality rate 0.011%, survival rate 99.989%

• Ages 20-29, fatality rate 0.003%, survival rate 99.997%

• Ages 0-19, fatality rate 0.0003%, survival rate 99.9997%

…

These numbers are astounding and reassuringly low, across the board.

But they’re almost nonexistent for children.

Yet as late as fall 2021, Fauci was still fear-mongering about the risks of COVID to children in order to increase vaccination uptake, saying in an interview that it was not a “benign situation:”

“We certainly want to get as many children vaccinated within this age group as we possibly can because as you heard and reported, that this is not, you know, a benign situation.”

And yet, with all the evidence flooding out about the dangers of these injections:

A Wellesley Student Speaks Out

I was appalled, but not surprised, when on Saturday, September 24, the Dean of Students at Wellesley College, where I am a student, buried at the end of an email to the student body that all students at Wellesley would be required to receive a shot of the new bivalent Covid-19 booster. Then on October 11, we were informed this mandate would take effect on December 1, nearly three weeks before the end of the semester. 

This announcement follows similar decisions from Tufts University, Harvard University, and the University of California, among others. It also follows a growing body of evidence that there are, for a non-trivial percentage of the vaccinated—especially the young—serious, potentially lifelong, and potentially fatal side effects—such as myocarditis and autoimmune disease—to the vaccine, which CDC director Rochelle Walensky acknowledges does not stop transmission of the coronavirus. 

The Covid Regime is a cult, and one that constitutes a clear and present danger to the public. There’s no other way to put it. You can explain the CDC decision to attempt to backdoor mandate the injections for little kids as a cynical plan to provide immunity for Big Pharma from lawsuits, to shield them from responsibility. But these universities and colleges? It’s a cult. Will there be a price to pay? The public is concerned, and possibly angry:

CDC's Child Vaccine Move Puts Dem Candidates On The Hot Seat

The CDC just made the closing weeks of 2022 campaigns a lot more volatile for some shaky Democrat candidates, especially for incumbent, pro-mandate Democrat governors like JB Pritzker, Kathy Hochul, and Gretchen Whitmer.

Why?

Well, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention just delivered a stark rebuke to America’s parents. In a unanimous decision, its Committee on Immunization Practices voted to add COVID-19 vaccines to the regular immunization schedule for all children, starting at the age of 6 months old.

Clearly, American parents do not concur, as a mere 3.5% of parents have injected their babies and toddlers, aged 6 months to 5 years old. For school age children, a recent Kaiser Family Foundation study shows that only one-third of children aged 5-11 have received at least one shot.

At least ten states—at last count, and including two Dem states—have moved to protect their children from these monsters.

The analysis of Dr. Ladapo, a scientist with two separate doctorates from Harvard, proves that science is, indeed, never “settled.” Moreover, the prevailing majority of American parents clearly agree with Florida’s skeptical approach on child vaccinations, and for valid data-based reasons. For example, after reviewing the relevant evidence, some European countries now actually forbid the injections for young people. Denmark’s Health Authority determined that because “children and adolescents rarely become severely ill from the Omicron variant of covid-19,” that child COVID  vaccination is no longer possible except for “a very limited number of children at particularly higher risk.”

Despite such appropriate concerns about vaccinating children who remain overwhelmingly invulnerable to dire effects of the virus, the CDC presses on with onerous guidance, pretending that these new Big Pharma injections carry the same risk/reward profile as the established, required childhood vaccinations that have been tested and used for decades. No wonder an NBC News poll from earlier this year found that a scant 37% of independent voters trust the CDC. For context on the marked decline in trust toward public health authorities: In the early days of the pandemic in the spring of 2020, a Pew Research survey found that 79% of Americans then had a very favorable view of the CDC.
