Its so sad to read about Karen McGee. A 71 year old deaf woman is beaten up by the Government because she asked for help at an airport. The ruling class is cruel.

There are "not enough minerals in the world to supply all the batteries needed for Net Zero" if we keep all the people that are currently using energy, and forego nuclear power. But if we don't keep all the people... 🤔

Just thinking like an elite person who will never end up in a wheelchair in Austin, Texas.

Reading about the shameful, inhumane treatment of the lady at the Austin airport and jail reminded me that Austin has morphed over the last 20+ years into Silicon Valley-bis: too many former West coast lotus-leaf eaters with advanced degrees in Stem, but zeros in integrity and simple etiquette. Add to that the general mayhem and dog-eat-dog approach to fellow travelers in airports…Zerohedge has an outtake from the Bee, with all the reasons CA-ians should stay in CA and NOT descend on TX!

The only thing green about allegedly 'green energy' is the backs of the legal tender lining the various corrupt individual's pockets. No solar or wind project would ever be planned, financed or built in the absence of federal and state subsidies. The biggest scam or racket to ever exist in history is the CO2 net zero Paris accord garbage.

So delusion and fantasy not only reigns in the political arena but also in the alternative energy world as well! Can someone explain the difference between an “expert” and an incompetent buffoon to me because apparently I’m just not sophisticated enough to understand the distinction?

As regards the plight of the poor women at the airport, it just defies belief. Not to mention that it is this kind of publicity that helps people with nefarious motives paint the police with a broad and unflattering brush.

There is a connection between the two stories. Some of us elderly, my wife included, have serious hearing problems, but we are not brain impaired to the point we would rely on windmills for power. You youngsters have a serious problem.

Re; The idiots in Austin.

This entire episode is an outrage. There is NO excuse for the behavior of the airline employees nor the law enforcement and jail personnel. I am so MAD I dont even know where to begin.

So I will focus on the fact that we in America have as a whole lost our compassion. My mother once said the worse part of aging was becoming invisible. We as a nation and society no longer value our elders.

Could no one take the time to realiize this woman simply could not hear, She was anxious and frightened and no one could see that?

It makes my blood boil. I hope she sues everyone involved including that hell hole of a once great Texas city.

We have truly lost our way. Now more than ever we must remember who we truly are and not what they are trying to make us. Just sitting here crying

I will make the assumption that if you drive around Austin’s residential neighbors it will be full of signs proclaiming things like “love is love” and “hate doesn’t live here” and plenty of those silly coexist bumper stickers. Too bad it’s all bs. Poor woman. Five minutes of simple compassion on the part of any number of people....

I think you touch on a key here--the role of the airline employees.

Yes, this was all very preventable. The airline employees completely failed in customer awareness and service. . First clue that this woman might have special needs was the fact that she was traveling in a wheelchair, In the past, these passengers if they were traveling solo were given help going from gate to gate and then given over to the ticket counter agents. Simple courtesy would be to make sure all was well.

When she was having trouble making herself understood the agents should have taken the time to figure out what was wrong, especially if she was beginning to show signs of anxiety and distress.

As to the nitwit who called security ---no polite words.

As i said, the airline employees Epic Fail on all levels. This incident is inexcusable. I hope the airline in question issues this poor woman a very public and personal apology. She still needs to sue them all in my opinion

The skies have not been friendly for a number of years

She probably didn’t use the correct pronoun for the airline employee. 🙄

You mean the ones who, if asked in the supermarket where the meat and groceries come from, will respond with “the big trucks parked out back”, dummy. And you expect them to have the foggiest notion about what you just wrote?
