The last few days we’ve been looking ahead to 2024. On a slow news Sunday, I’ll add a few items for consideration. No, not about reported Russian breakthroughs. These are some items that may affect politics in the US, perhaps in major ways. Nothing affects elections like economic conditions. With Zhou’s ratings already down there with whale sh*t—one wag I read said it was in ‘family and friends’ territory—it remains likely that the American economy will take some additional hits in systemic ways for which there may be no quick fix. A lot of this centers around the symbiotic relationship of oil and the USD. The flight from the USD, which was expected to be an inevitable but long term affair, may be picking up momentum to the extent that we could start feeling real effects in 2024.
All of these collected screwups have set us up for, at least to my way of thinking, a 2024 that will be one for the history books. These idiots have set forces in motion, through their gross incompetence and colossal arrogance, that they don’t understand and certainly can’t control. I think that anyone who is grounded in reality senses that we are approaching critical mass on these myriad forces. If I might take a bit of literary license, shit doesn’t hit the fan gradually, it happens all at once. Anyone else?
I would add that the Israeli operation in Gaza simply cannot suceed. The formation of the State of Israel was fundamentally flawed (in that it dispossessed Palestinians from their homeland) and that cannot be changed. We, in the United States, have been persuaded (I am tempted to say, 'brainwashed', but won't) that Israel can use any tactics to 'defend' itself (defend its existence). But it can't. The rest of the world, and especially the nearly 2 billion strong Muslim world, does not agree. The shit will hit the fan. Israel will lose.
I agree that shit hits the fan suddenly. Its axiomatic. I also think it hits unpredictably. And then splatters everywhere.
While there must be some folks in the DoD, and Rand corporation, and NSC, and CIA who are worried about a sudden and unpredictable shit hitting event with major splattering implications, I think Biden and the Neocons who control him and NATO aren't listening. Its kinda how doubledown works. Then inevitability takes over.

The new UAE policy is with other Brics nations will now accept payment in local currencies, where before it was just dollars. It’s now an option to be negotiated.
Prior, Since 73 only the U.S. dollar was accepted for oil transactions.
Now we just can’t have gas at $3/gallon! Can’t have Americans driving them thar cars to work! (I dunno - have you seen the 805 South heading to Chula Vista around 4 pm?). So, what to do? Well, coerce, meddle, provoke (“diplomacy”) our ME providers of oil and, sure enough, irritated and angry, but wirh the wind at their backs (Brics), they keep the price…high and dump the USD into the bargain! Meanwhile, the geezer genius continues apace his campaign (?!) to cancel domestic energy production! Now does this make any sense? Or is its nefarious aim to crash the economy (inflation heading skywards etc) and, as a result, keep all but the Lamborgini drivers, plus a few Austin Martins, off the road? Great job destroying the country guys.

Huma! She who was at one point on the payroll of the state department as an advisor, on Hillary’s person payroll as a chambermaid and advisor to Hillary, on the payroll of the Clinton foundation as an advisor, and of course the Clinton Campaign also helped her out with pin money.
People warned Hillary that Huma was incompetent and thus a loose end. Hillary didn’t care because she values person loyalty to Her Highness over all other factors. This burned her when the FBI found Huma’s laptop had been accessed by her husband, Anthony Weiner, and was compromised by that dick. This led to the FBI reopening the investigation into her emails, which Hillary blames for her 2016 crushing humiliating unprecedented inexcusable defeat by political novice Donald Trump, who beat her like a drum.
What gives first? The progressive/neocon abuse of our US constitution or the US ability to claw it's way back to righteous functioning? I believe there are enough 'everyday citizens' who've not bought the 'New America' garbage to rebuild - the question is how bad is the demise of the fall of the cabal that would have us eating bugs and riding bicycles around seeking enough food to survive? It looks like the U.S. can do nothing about it. And if it’s allowed to continue and is successful, other nations will follow suite.
Russia and Iran were forced outside the dollar system. My guess is Russia’s pioneering de-dollarization efforts paved the way.
