Hey and G'day S'21,

Apologies to any who didn't come to 'Meaning in History' for and evangelical-newsletter, of course it's not. There is a very real connection of our world and what many of Faith have come to recognize as the Battle of Good and Evil. The battle is in the spirit and principalities: not to go all Bible on you all-it is an age-old known fact.

Faith/Belief aside, there are actual coordinated attacks on Christianity and, I'd remind all, that Anti-Semitism you hear about (think colleges and Universities coverage lately) is an assault on the Judea-leg of what our founding fathers termed Judea-Christian morals and values on which our country's gov't was created. There's a lot of effort spent here in a world in heavy denial.

A great term comes to mind -from WWII Fliers lexicon- 'If you're taking Flack you're over the target'. Being attacked doesn't prove one's belief or faith; that is proven in Love. Being attacked does show that the battle rages.

Remember, Marxism mandates Gov't replace God to succeed. It's allowed in that ideology only as the societal opiate so must fall under gov't control/regulation. Do you think maybe, as part of the Covid freedom intrusion, the closing of Church services was coincidence? Our freedom to worship is part of the foundation that allowed for the USA to have been great. So many capitulated during Covid, it feels like evil has scored big in our having allowed our gov't to get away with their violations of our Liberties.

Dang, S'21, I wanted to just offer a thanks for the encouraging note and got all preachy (again, I fear). I do appreciate your insight; if folks who don't walk in faith aren't told the truth they won't have the Light to head towards. Thanks for providing some! (WRH of Weiser...)

In the days of yore, religion and good morals were taught in school, in church and at home with the consequence that society itself acted as a break on degeneracy. Our complacency back then led us to forget that we live in a world that is in a constant struggle between the powers of light and dark. This together with the nature of man, made us vulnerable to that state of relative morality where one persons values are matched against another's. As with children, who need a parent figure to define boundaries for their own safety, so with those of us who are of age. The absence of an authority to define right and wrong, outside of ourselves, leaves us extremely vulnerable to bad judgement. That's the whole back story to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil - we now get to choose what is right.

The Garden condition, of living under God's authority does not, when removed result in an authority figure vacuum. There is always a substitute. IMO, the powers of darkness have now assumed that role. Hence, whilst most people do not profess to be Satanists, the mantra "do what thou wilt" is actually the moral code by which so many of us choose to live. It is increasingly facilitated (the lifting of negative consequences for bad behavior e.g. >20% children living in single parent homes in US and UK) by a captured State (Social Security, the New Deal, Great Society, etc.) and incentivized by seeing others get away with/be rewarded by whatever they want.

But it's all a big lie. You can see it everywhere, that the darkness actually results in imprisonment. A perfect example is this new concept of 15 minute cities. Another was the lockdown. But with the darkness showing it's hand more and more - I vividly recall getting the feeling during lockdown of evil spreading like a cloud over us - there is hope that more and more are waking up. Now here is the critical point for me. Whilst we can choose what is right because we see the picture more fully, how do we explain to others, so that they follow suit? I like the film, the Time Changer for it's take on this. It's a bit dated, but here is the gist from Wikipedia. "Bible professor Russell Carlisle (D. David Morin) confronts and lectures a boy who has stolen marbles from his neighbors, calling his action unjust. The year is 1890 and Carlisle has written a new manuscript entitled The Changing Times, which promotes good morals without discussing Christ. The book is on track to receive a unanimous endorsement from the board of the Grace Bible Seminary. That is, until colleague Dr. Norris Anderson (Gavin MacLeod) objects. Without unanimous endorsement, his book might not do so well. Carlisle and another professor seek a unanimity rule change, but the dean insists that Carlisle discuss the disagreement with Anderson privately.

Dr. Anderson fears that Carlisle's book could harm coming generations, arguing that teaching good moral values without mentioning Christ is wrong."

Mark, Thank you for what might be one of the shortest posts; one that peeks into, covers and has inroads into what may be the largest part of "what ails the World" these days.

I'm not particularly a smart human. It been my preference to submit, not to a worldly authority but a Divine 'ultimate' authority. However, I must live in this world, consider myself fortunate to be a resident of the USA but retain (what little is left) my sanity in the fact I am a Citizen of God's Kingdom.

I have come to find that when there's less God, there's more government. Marxism seeks that, by design as gov't must be 'the' authority for the masses in order to maintain control. Freedom, Liberty and self capacity are enemies to the socialist/communist aka Marxist mantra.

BLM 'founders' proudly proclaim their Marxist training/agenda, our courts remove prayer, initially in 1962 and further along God (particularly the Judea/Christian God of the Bible) is not only removed from the public square, but vilified as well as the values based in Him. So successful, the Liberty/Faith/Freedom founded USA uses it's gov't police to enforce counter-Godly rules. Note: FBI raiding peaceful 'Gospel-singing at Abortion Clinic' Pastors, who've had the charges-dismissed with 11 Black clad and armed agents in an early morning raid to arrest said man after dozens of attacks (such as firebombs) and other violations of Pro-Life clinics designed to provide information to likely abortion-seeking women attempting to save the lives of the innocent unborn go 'unsolved'.

BLM, BTW, if an actual intent, might consider that, in 2019 350,000 babies of Black moms and/or dads were aborted. Killed prior to 'legally being alive' which includes, of course, possible post-birth 'abortion. Black Lives Matter? Marxism matters, but not for black lives. Any. Few racists match the success of past socialist Marxist gov'ts to eliminate the undesired. Blacks have been a huge target - yet BLM - a Marxist organization flourishes.

I really must get some range time. Between being totally baffled at how so many follow the democrat party and BLM I am becoming worse than cynical. I guess I'll apologize, altho' I think I'm not wrong and therefore this headache has roots in the "What's Wrong with America" topic this is responding to.

Blessings when considered leave little or no time to think about the cr@p. I gotta get blessed with a few magazine discharges of 5.56MM and some 9mm fun. And I'll remember God gave me another day, which this is it and I shall rejoice and be glad in it. Thanks all for your patience if you read all this... WRH of Weiser (ha! you thought I'd type Idaho! oh, I just did and that means you were right, again).

I was listening last night to Dr Peter McCollough (spelling?) talking about the Covid insanity. I hadn't realised that he was a devout Christian. His understanding from his own awful treatment was that there has to be some dark force behind all this. I agree with him. There is evil upon the face of the Earth and we are going to spend the rest of our time on Earth fighting against it.

I think that's true. The retreat of religion from public life--to a great extent by government/court action--has been instrumental in increasing reliance on government.

Seems statistically proportional.

In 2012 an author noted the Marx 10 point plan (Communist Manifesto, required to defeat capitalism) was 1/2 completed.

https://www.checkpointnews.org/communist-manifesto-marxs-10-pt-plan/ is the list. Awareness is a start altho' where will the leadership come from to address it?

Tnx for your note. (WRH)

Ps., Hope PT is working well. My experience (too much of it) was a painful yet necessary 'evil'. Hope your wife is doing well with it all.

Feminism coupled with the nanny-welfare state. While feminism is currently under attack by the tranny lobby, the welfare state is still going strong.

I miss Rush and his Femi-Nazi updates.

I miss Rush too, but for now Dr. Laura still fights the good fight against feminism.

Terrifying statistic, with the increased risk for negative behavior of the children in households without both biological parents.

Expand full comment

Ray, it is indeed terrifying. In the 1950's the Black Family had the lowest % of single households in America. Today, almost 3 of 4 kids 'of color' born are born into single mom homes. Stats show, single parented boys go to prison (or die by or being criminal) at a 50% rate. Half! BLM ignores the 95% murder rate of young black men by other black men. The Great Society, credited to LBJ, has very ulterior motives. Margaret Sanger (somehow a heroine today) and LBJ were abject racists yet over 90% black voters are democrat. Sadly, statistics don't provide resolutions. If Gov't had a job it's leaders could do, it'd be working to return ethics of individualism - that is, accountability and responsibility by individuals with Constitutional protections for all.

Man, my soap box is getting worn out today! I hope you have a good week *and to all readers, Blessings! (WRH)

It's not just single parenthood and the family unit. It's the concept of a free lunch. The work ethic we had fifty years ago no longer exists. We are spoiled. We are all aristocrats. The world owes me...

There are exceptions. They will survive the coming Depression. They will also be relatively untouched by the brainwashing now going on.

Huh. You mean that 50+ years of facilitating single-parent families and denigrating fatherhood has paid off?

You don't say.

By us, the Road Commission LED signs keep changing the words frequently, but the message is always the same ... ** percent of deaths occur (in rain, on ice, driving too fast, in fog, ignoring road conditions, tailgating, etc.). So what's the real message? Fear! They are training us to be afraid. It has just become more obvious since 2020. Control the population through fear.

At V2 essentially that understanding of marriage was adopted. Archb. Lefebvre was very eloquent on that.

Hey there Rascal Nick (of)! (some day explain how that works, I feel kinda dumb). The big 3 legs of socialism (a table will stand on 3 legs) are the New Deal, Great Society and Obamacare (etc. under Obama). 1: Social Security, hmmm, "Social" is right there in it's name... 2: Great Society, federalization of Education (big win for Marxism)/Welfare State/Medical care (Medicare/Medicaid) 3: Obamacare (1 of several) putting to work that socialist agenda and the Marxist movement gains huge steam.

Take care, sir. Very best to you! (WRH over here in SW)

So, as an associate (positive and advocate) is 'Rascal Nick' ok? It's pretty cool, actually.

Raskolnikov likely was much less Rascal but certainly interesting! :^)
