What is striking about this statement is that the FBI is now adopting the language of pundits on the left that any objections to its role in censorship is a “conspiracy theory.” Rather than acknowledge the concerns and pledge to work with Congress to guarantee transparency, it is attacking free speech advocates who are raising the concern that Twitter had become an agent of the government in censorship. Notably, Twitter itself now believes that such an agency relationship existed.
I mean, what could they say? They were caught red-handed. The receipts are all there.
It's a completely ridiculous statement, and does more to discredit the Agency than... well, I don't know, but the Agency has been doing an awful lot to discredit itself lately.
Now we get to see how far the two-tiered justice system can stretch to accommodate such blatantly illegal conduct. My guess: it can stretch even farther.
This wouldn't have happened a few years ago. Police here would never have entertained this ridiculousness. Sadly the old school are nearly all gone and the latest generation seem to be spineless order takers with no idea of the proper use of their powers, the law or a little thing called discretion.

"Conspiracy theorist and others". So, everybody.

Good God
It will happen here. Soon
And all the morons will just roll over and accept it.

A total inversion of values. Good is evil; evil is good.
We live on a clown planet.
What kinda guy does a job like that?
A just followin’ orders type. Hannah Arendt had it right: the banality of evil.
Violent silent praying.
There ya go. Inner words can be just as violent as openly spoken words.
