Briefly noted—not because this isn’t an important development, but just because we can keep it brief by trying to fit it within the big picture.
We can do that by starting with a four tweet thread from Doc Shipwrecked:
And this reporting of the new video releases should be combined with the fact that DOJ demanded protective orders over all videos disclosed to the defendants from CCTV or body worn cameras, preventing release of those videos to the public.
The videos could only be released if they were used in court. So who used them in court? The Govt when it asks for defendants to be detained without bond, or other various types of pretrial proceedings.
So DOJ could pick and choose what it wanted the public to see and what would be reported in the press. That allowed DOJ to set the "narrative" through the media about what happened on Jan 6, while defendants couldn't release any video to establish a counter-narrative.
This is why what Carlson is doing is so important. For the first time the wider public is seeing that the events of Jan 6 were a lot more nuanced that has been suggested by the GOVT -- including the Jan 6 Committee.
The GOVT has misled the public.
THAT should make you unhappy.
Well, if that’s what should make us unhappy, then we’ve got a LOT to be unhappy about these days, don’t we?
Now for a stab at the bigger picture. Who was responsible for releasing these videos? Kev McCarthy, Speaker of the House. I want to remind everyone that Tom Luongo maintains that Kev is owned by the big NY banks. The major shareholders in the Fed. Do you think that Jamie Dimon and the NY guys—including Jay Powell—have an interest in taking down Zhou and Janet and Merrick and all the rest of this regime? You better believe they do. Is the release of these videos part of that? Why not?
Who’s unhappy about this development? That’s right—the Turtle:
Turtle and Bluto Barr were hell bent on getting rid of Trump. And I remind you that, no matter what some of the NY guys may personally think of Trump, this Fed is Trump’s Fed. Just as this SCOTUS is Trump’s SCOTUS. When you think about it, that’s a helluva legacy for a POTUS.
But my point is that this looks like a battle in a bigger war.
Add this to the mix with a h/t to mistcr: DDB yesterday:

I think Jay Powell has moved on. He just wants to keep it going. I think he wants it to be 100 degrees in Dallas, TX, and for the market to still be debating if there's another quarter point hike coming when summer comes. When the debt ceiling standoff is blowing up the country and as Quantitative Tightening continues in the background.
Never had much use or respect for Turtle, but his latest outburst about the Jan 6 tapes puts him in the category two notches below totally useless.
