It might be instructive if you (Mark) explained how we ended up with Wray the Snake. My recollection is he was recommended by someone or some organization to Trump, but did Trump have another nominee in mind before McConnell, representing the Deep State, signal that anyone not approved of by him would not be confirmed by the senate.
That's my understanding, too. The recommendation was based on Christie using Wray to defend in the NJ Turnpike case. Wray kept some critical evidence in a private safe and didn't turn it over. I assume, though, that he was also recommended by the WH legal people.

I doubt this is the first occurrence of Wray using government aircraft for personal use. Change my mind.
