A quick start to the day—Canadian David Warren writes about his country at The Catholic Thing: Canada, Fortis et Liber He begins by explaining to his readers what several commenters here have remarked upon, in order to understand the magnitude—we hope—of what is happening in Canada:
I think a crack down, a violent one, is coming. Leftists never really fret over the morality of using violence against their political opponents. The only thing they ever lack in this regard is the courage to do so, but when push comes to shove, they always find enough to start shooting their opposition. I hope I am wrong.
The exact triggering of what KD describes is more complicated than he wants you to believe. Nevertheless ... violence against the citizenry breaks the bonds that hold a society together.
The Freedom Convoy is doing it right...when the crackdown comes, and I agree it looks like it will, the non-violence of the truckers will cause such a crackdown to backfire and inspire more resistance. Trudeau is mishandling this in so many ways, and there's no reason to expect he won't continue down a path of maximum incompetence.

'If you break it you own it' still applies.

1. LE will lose credibility.
2. Trust in government will evaporate.
These are things that can't be resuscitated at will.
Excellent point. That has happened to me in the US.
I have a major moral issue with the fact police are allowed to lie to you, per the us court system.
