As an ongoing student of both modern campaigns waged inside the Russian border (Napoleon’s 1812/Operation Barbarossa) IMHO if Putin was going to assault Ukraine it would’ve happened already. It’s mid February which leaves precious little time for offensive operations due to the onset of the “rasputitsa” or wet/rainy season. Whether campaigning with armies on foot or armored vehicles, the Russian mud is legendary & is dredged up by rains/melting snow in the spring & autumn. Either late spring or after the ground is frozen hard is the time to launch an offensive, not now. Moreover, an action of this type & scale would required significant staging areas where fuel/ammo/foodstuffs/medical equipment would need to be stockpiled to be released to the front. These should be easily identifiable from satellite imagery. Has anyone seen any photos released by the Pentagon/DoD? Thus far I haven’t.
I read an article in American Thinker today entitled "America Is Approaching Financial Doomsday". A collapse of our economy would have all people living in America (well, most), not only citizens, longing for the return of a smart businessman who ended the Obama recession and made us energy exporters.
President Trump himself said on December 2, 2020:

Agreed. The donkeys know they have a big problem (of their own creation) without an easy solution. If the next six months sees inflation continue unabated with fuel prices causing real pain for everyday Americans and little effort by Brandon to mitigate the rising costs, it may well result in the biggest congressional rout in the nation's history. Of course, Brandon could drop dead or go catatonic between now and then which would allow the donkeys to catch their breath.
What is driving the White House, a list, in no particular order of their greatest real fears:
1. Biden polling in the 30's.
2. Inflation
3. Fear of Trucker type action in the US
4. Empty Grocery Shelves
5. Mid Term Wipeout of Democrats
6. Durham Investigation
7. Trump Social Media Launch
8. End of Covid Fear Effectiveness
9. Vax and Booster Side Effects comes out
10. Effectiveness of Ivermectrin & HCQ come out
11. Amount of lies / false information on Covid comes out
12. Corruption of Biden comes out
13. Biden has significant illness or gets so bad no public appearances
14. Stock Market and other Bubbles Pops after Interest Rates Hiked
15. Trump is still a threat
16. Establishment GOP is slowly losing power
17. Election Fraud evidence is slowly, drop by drop, dripping out destroying the legitimacy of the Biden Presidency
18. Destruction of Legitimacy / Respect for the Media. The main stream media and Democratic Whitehouse are deeply intertwined through marriage, past jobs, and blood relationships.
I agree with everything on your list, but question whether the White House and their cohorts aren't assuming in their arrogance that they can stay in power no matter what happens.

The only negative feedback they are capable of noticing is polling data. And their only answer for that is to agitate for a new war.
Everything else, their strategy is to cover their eyes like the two-year old who doesn't realize you can see him even if he can't see you.
They won't cheat the next election?
I have assumed they would, but the growing panic suggests maybe they realize they can't get away with it on that scale again. So...I dunno.
