I give credit to the ISIS theory due to Trump's (lack of a ) reaction - whilst the FBI was rogue overall, it's hard to imagine him not choosing to know the truth about that incident that occurred under his admin. Since he never was transparent with the People on that incident, it makes sense that it was ISIS and he thought it prescient to deny them a PR win.

I've seen a few posts on socials questioning the narrative about this incident; about the hotel windows - re-enforced glass that can't open, something about the bullet casings, something else about the officers who went up to the room. I've no clue but there is something phooey about blaming it on ISIS affiliation after 5 years.

Ancient history, but...

I also believe we should take a second look at the anthrax attacks of 2001. Bob Mueller of the FBI took all of a morning to decide it couldn't possible be Al Qaeda/Sadaam Hussein. He then spent years investigating an innocent man (Steve Hatfill) and finally fingered as the culprit an unstable man who committed suicide.
