Between the collapse of the Zhou Regime on both the domestic (inflation, insane Wokism, SCOTUS nominees needing to consult biologists, etc.) and foreign (Afghanistan, Ukraine, threats of nuclear war) fronts—with the effect of the demise of King Dollar yet to be determined definitively, but boding very ill—the question everyone is asking is: How low can the polling for Zhou and the Dems go?
The NYPost notes:
President Biden’s job-approval rating has plummeted to the lowest of his White House tenure — and seven in 10 Americans lack confidence in the commander-in-chief’s ability to handle the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a survey released Sunday found.
The number of Americans who approve of Biden’s actions since he took the helm of the country in January 2021 has fallen to 40% – the lowest of his presidency and a dramatic 13 percentage-point drop from April 2021, the NBC News poll shows.
But that’s NBC, and I hope we’re smart enough here to take NBC polling with a grain of salt. On the other hand, NBC does offer us an interesting nugget, that I picked up from Don Surber:
The story said, "Asked which one issue — reducing inflation and improving the economy, or working to end the war in Ukraine — should be Biden’s top priority, 68% picked inflation/economy, versus 29% who picked the war in Ukraine."
All that huffing and puffing and war propaganda by the media hasn't sold America on war! war! war!
However, in the real world, Powerline reports on the results of a liberal “gold medal” poll, which must be shocking for Dems—it shows a huge chunk of the Dem base defecting:
… stunning new poll result out from the well-respected—and Democrat-connected—Iowa Poll, whose most recent nationwide survey finds Biden’s overall approval rating at 34 percent.
Now, this isn’t a poll, but it is an indicator, because I suspect it reflects the views of many likely voters—and I point to VA for support of that view:
Republican Transgender Surrender Caucus
Democrats don’t know how to define what a woman is. Turns out, neither do some GOP governors.
It’s a given that all Woke causes, and especially gender and crime related ones, are heavily supported at all levels of government with Big Money. That’s how Prog DAs get elected and reelected and that’s how Big Corp and State Governors end up supporting insane Woke social engineering projects. Fortunately, we’re also witnessing GOP legislatures taking out after some GOP governors who have sold out:
… as the unpopularity and dangerousness of the Democrats’ radical gender ideology keep making themselves manifest, the GOP’s transgender surrender caucus inexplicably keeps growing.
There’s nothing remotely inexplicable about this. It’s about Big Money and Big Media control of our public discourse—at least in the mainstream. Here’s the other side of this:
The Democrats’ radical Supreme Court nominee has made it clear that she doesn’t know what a woman is. As recent developments regrettably have shown, neither do several Republican governors.
Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent out his most popular tweet of the year—one that received a staggering 130,000 likes within 24 hours—in which he blasted the NCAA decision to let biological male William “Lia” Thomas compete in and win an NCAA championship in the 500-yard freestyle competition against, among others, Floridian runner-up and Olympic individual silver medalist Emma Weyant.
…
DeSantis’ tweet was pure intellectual clarity. “By allowing men to compete in women’s sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud.”
Yes, DeSantis speaks of “fraud” and “lies”. That’s intellectual clarity, something many Americans hunger for. It’s not a poll, but maybe it’s much better. For the cynical, or realistic, we can assume that position polls well and DeSantis is following the polling. I’ll take that, if he follows up with actions. It gives us much needed reason to hope.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed the Parental Rights in Education bill which bans certain instruction about sexual orientation and “gender identity” in classrooms.
“I don’t care what corporate media outlets say, I don’t care what Hollywood says, I don’t care what big corporations say. Here I stand. I’m not backing down,” DeSantis said at the bill signing.
Dumba** South Carolinians keep voting for Lindsey. Dumba** South Dakotans keep voting for John Thune. Dumba** Kentuckians keep voting for McConnell. Dumba** keep voting for (fill in the blank with the other 44 or 45 lousy GOP Senators).
Some fearless leader (DeSantis?) has to articulate a clear America First agenda. As a precinct committeeman in a swing state, I can tell you that people are really worried about losing the country. I worked the Republican booth at a community event last weekend and people are scared. They are thirsting for candidates who will walk the walk and do what they promise.
Unfortunately, too many Americans still simple-mindedly equate "GOP" with "the good guys" at the ballot box. It is obviously not enough to condemn the Dems. The GOP hasn't given voters a clear picture of what it will do if given power again. The simple truth is that we cannot do so because we have too many cowardly, corrupt charlatans in office.
The way to fix this is to turn primaries into clear candidate litmus tests every cycle. Incumbents who have not lived up to their promises must be turned out. Newcomers must be graded based on their commitments to America First principles--not on the curve. American schools have failed due to 'social promotion' and so has American governance. Incumbents have two or six years to perform. If they earn a failing grade they must be dispassionately called out and dismissed. We need to start naming names after Dr. Malone's example (starts at 16:30):
