The neocons are gambling for a broader war.

Here in Aus, some minor politicians are now advocating compulsory conscription of 18 year olds.

Soon the major parties will follow suit I expect.

Only in the War Years was this subject accepted as a natural reaction to the action overseas.

The Neocon lapdogs are being told the gear up it seems.

In the escalation hierarchy the Kyiv Dam sits before tactical nukes.

With record rainfalls I wonder what would happen if the dam was breached. It sits precariously north of Kiev city.

So far, the Russians aren't biting. I'm sure they've gamed out every possible neocon response. Maybe the response will come in a more asymmetrical way - an "incident" at one of the 800 or so US bases around the world.

I think when Alinsky wrote that "the real action is the enemy's reaction" he was not being original, he was just cribbing from long-standing Anglo foreign policy methods.

The neocons intended to provoke the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Now that Ukraine and NATO are losing due to that massive miscalculation, the neocons intend to provoke a larger response whereby they either create the propaganda narrative for the mobilization of a broader war with Russia or divide and conquer their enemies.

Either way it is lunacy, completely devoid of any morality other than "those who survive, win."

The sooner we jettison this filth from Western society, the better.

I have never seen such utter stupidity. This administration is so inept, so stupid, so out of touch that it defies explanation.

Inept, stupid and also very dangerous as a result.

And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.

Somehow that doesn't cheer me up, Jeff!

It’s from one of the Gospels (Matthew, maybe?). Recall it meaning that, despite wars and other strife, the end will unfold according to God’s plan.

He is quoted identically in the gospels of Matthew (chapter 24) and Mark (chapter 13) and almost identically in Luke (chapter 21).

I've always found the passivity of those verses very irritating. Yes, God exists and he has a plan, but he also gave us human agency to act.

It's pretty wild. "Don't be alarmed," says Jesus, "as the world falls apart around you." But it seems (to me, anyways) that He goes on to say, "take heart, because I AM returning."

There are growing concerns in Italy, Slovakia, Hungary and other NATO countries about the war enthusiasm of Stoltenberg.

- Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini: "Stoltenberg should either retract his statement, apologise, or resign"

The US neocons have completely neutered Europe. It will be interesting to see if their sabre-rattling finally wakes up the Eurosheep. Another area of conflict could be the new-found love of conscription that many Euro "leaders" are wallowing in. I really wonder if the youth of Europe will go along with that.

As I type, USAF B-52H Stratofortress 60-0037 in the air over Europe; looks to be headed back to Fairford air base. Took off at 8:30 am EST, circled Kaliningrad, then settled into a holding pattern in Lithuania, just a short distance from the Suwalki Gap. Last time I saw this was several months ago, but it was cruising inside Sweden. These people are lunatics.

Jacques Baud speaking with Danny Davis today:

NATO ‘Poking the Bear’ Risks War w/Russia - Col. Jacques Baud

In March, 2023, you had us bombers B52 bombers that were sent from Spain to fly over Estonia and to simulate an attack on St Petersburg with nuclear weapons. ... The Russian response to this incident was that Vladimir Putin announced that he would station nuclear weapons in Belarus. We have leaders that are totally unaware of the possible consequences of what they are doing. It's almost as if our leadership was kind of playing electronic game on a computer. You know, they don't seem to be aware of the possible consequences ...

Thanks for reminding me he was going to be on Danny's channel today, Mark. I had forgotten! It was an interesting conversation. Baud always brings up info that people have forgotten, or have never seen (like the decolonization conferences & the B-52 runs) Sometimes people think I'm a silly old lady with my plane watching, but I have certainly learned a lot. Its always instructive, but sometimes, like this morning, its terrifying. Pay attention to what they do...not what they say!

I was very surprised that Davis was unaware of the open planning to carve up Russia into multiple smaller, colonized, "countries".
