If we talk about this odious conduct without doing anything about it, no matter what attitude we take toward it, we are tacitly licensing it. Turley's not doing us any favors, here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normalization_of_deviance

So much of all of this relies on Ben Rhodes famous media echo chamber. The Iran deal media echo under Obama was a warmup for perfecting the echo chamber to easily spread false info.

I believe that Americans, and America, could recover if given the opportunity. But, even though there are encouraging signs, I have grave doubts that this will happen.

I've admitted before that I voted for Obama in 2008. I was mostly ignorant of the larger trends of corruption engulfing all of our public and private institutions; I was just disgusted with Bush. But what I struggle to admit even to myself is my thinking at the time: "how much damage could a little socialism do?"

The current regime can do A LOT MORE damage.

Example, from Andrea Widburg today: https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/11/something_very_peculiar_is_happening_with_our_strategic_petroleum_reserve.html

The administration is selling off our strategic petroleum reserves to an unspecified country in Asia. Do we assume China? Maybe, but it doesn't really matter.

As much as I respect Widburg's writing, I disagree with her conclusion. This is not the act of a madman trying to 'burn it all down.' This is the behavior of a puppet master transitioning the country to something other than what it has been. Something other than prosperous, self-reliant, and free.
