What’s going on? What’s the Big Picture? This looks like another Deep State coup in the making, probably spearheaded by the Intel agencies and the Pentagon. Our position has been that that’s what’s behind the drip, drip, drip, of revelations about Zhou. The classified documents and so forth. The motive behind this coup is that the US is losing its war with Russia—Big Time. There will be consequences. There have been a variety of attempts to get the US out of this war—Gen. Milley suggesting negotiations, things of that sort. None of those attempts have gained traction with the public, which is instead focused on Drag Shows. Thus far the Neocons have managed to keep the MSM on their side and to bury most of these damaging revelations. Thus, the attempts to force Zhou have not worked so far. This current leak ploy looks like the Deep State going nuclear, almost literally, out of sheer desperation.

The desperation shows through in the flimsiness of the cover story that pins the blame on a 21 year old “gun enthusiast” who “worked at a military base.” Some of these documents were internal CIA documents that would never have been available to a “cyber analyst” like Jack Texeira—if they somehow were, the persons responsible are the ones who should be arrested.

Larry Johnson is sticking to his position—which is a reasonable, rational, position—and has updated it. This story just doesn’t really make sense. There are documents in the leak that simply should not have been available to the leaker. How this worked we don’t know, but it could not have worked the way it is being claimed. Were the high level docs planted somehow? Maybe.

UPDATE – -A CONTROLLED LEAK AND A 21 YEAR OLD SCAPE-GOAT?

Johnson captures in his title the inherent non-credibility of the narrative. He also points to the involvement of Bellingcat, a well known US/UK intel cutout, and the coordinated inclusion of the MSM:

So how did the Washington Post get on the story? If the reporters were not tipped off by Bellingcat then it had to be someone in the U.S. intelligence or military hierarchy.

The Washington Post report is written perfectly for credulous readers. It touches all the hot buttons — e.g., racist, religious extremist, anti-Semite, loves guns, hates the U.S. Government. The only thing lacking is that the fellow, Jack Texeira, was not wearing a MAGA cap.

To reiterate an earlier point, the leaked material is not random intelligence material. It is designed to tell several stories. The most prominent is the deterioration of Ukrainian capabilities and the major obstacles confronting the United States and the rest of NATO …, Ukraine is going to crash and burn.

Let me suggest one possibility for this leak — create a predicate for forcing Joe Biden from office. The revelations in the classified documents are not fabrications designed to deceive the Russians. Nor are they the kind of material to rally more U.S. support for pouring more resources into the black hole of Ukraine. These leaks feed the meme that the Biden team is incompetent and endangering American interests overseas.

Teixeira is an Airman First Class (E3) and his job title is cyber transport systems journeyman – working with IT infrastructure, not analyzing intelligence. According to Jennifer Griffin at Fox News, he has a TS/SCI security clearance. Obviously, he would have access to classified information and documents given his job, but there are documents in the leak that someone in his position should not have had.

And he had access to internal CIA docs … how?

Well, onward. Let me list what I believe are the priorities behind this coup:

1. Get rid of Zhou and his team of Neocons—that means a national security house cleaning that leaves the IC and the Pentagon in charge.

2. To accomplish this the American public needs to get involved, and that’s what the leak and arrest does. It’s intended to place the Deep State out ahead of the crash and burn—in the public mind—as the ones who were trying to put a stop to the losing.

3. Keep Trump out—I take it that that’s the meaning behind the “hot button” narratives being pushed. Trump is an even bigger danger now to the Deep State than he was before. He has a motive for revenge and he will have a hammer.

4. Get the US out of this war sooner rather than later. Notice how stopping the killing is only #4 on this list?

5. There are probably additional motives, additional complications, but that will do for the Big Picture.

Seymour Hersh: the CIA Knows Ukrainian Officials Are Skimming US Aid

Hersh says the CIA estimates at least $400 million was embezzled last year in funds earmarked for diesel payments

As usual, imagine if this happened under any other administration. It would be a kill shot. It gets even crazier, because the diesel purchases are actually coming, ultimately, from Russia. But here’s the part about the civil war. CIA head Burns confronted Zelensky and felt that Zelensky blew him off:

Hersh said Zelensky’s “half-hearted response” and the “lack of concern” in the White House angered some US intelligence officials. The intelligence official speaking to Hersh criticized President Biden’s two main foreign policy advisors, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

“They have no experience, judgment, and moral integrity. They just tell lies, make up stories. Diplomatic deniability is something else,” the official said. The official said there was a “total breakdown between the White House leadership and the intelligence community.”

The report said the rift started in the fall when the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines were blown up. According to Hersh’s earlier reporting, President Biden ordered the operation that took out the pipelines. “Destroying the Nord Stream pipelines was never discussed, or even known in advance, by the community,” the official said.

The official said there is “no strategy for ending the war” within the Biden administration and offered more scathing criticism of Blinken and Sullivan.

“Burns is not the problem,” the official said. “The problem is Biden and his principal lieutenants—Blinken and Sullivan and their court of worshippers—who see those who criticize Zelensky as being pro-Putin.

Now, much of that is obviously self serving, although the bad blood is there to see. The example that’s cited, the fact that the US was going to launch a terror attack on Nord Stream, was as open a secret as any we’ve seen in recent years. The idea that the IC was taken by surprise—really? But, bigger picture wise, the planning for this war has been in the works for nigh on a decade—that’s well documented through Rand Corp studies that we’ve cited in the past. The idea that this war was the crazy program of a small handful of people doesn’t pass the barf test. The problem is, we’re losing and it’s time to play pin the blame on someone else. The important message here is: The war is a disaster, we need to get out, the buck stops with Zhou and his crew because the Deep State cannot accept the blame.

As usual, Tucker Carlson provides brilliant commentary on the interplay and collusion among the Deep State and the MSM. Tucker hits the key point. This is an illegal war and we’re losing it in a big way—that’s the big problem. The fact that we’re losing in such a big way means that all this illegality, corruption, stupidity, lying, is bound to come out. It’s all too big to hide, so the question is how to apportion the blame.

The World’s About to Change “Big-Time”

As usual, these are excerpts from a much longer presentation that draws on the revelations gleaned from the leaks—all of which, as we’ve long known, are totally unsurprising. But that’s the point of the Leak Theater—the facts have long been known, but a bit of theater is necessary to get the public’s attention:

If we blow through the puffery [in the leaked docs], the bottom line is that military experts in Washington all but predict that Russia is set to prevail, and Ukraine is set to lose.

Prepare for another U.S. debacle like previous geostrategic disasters ... Except this time around, the looming Ukraine calamity will dwarf the outcomes of Saigon and Kabul. Because no country can lose a war this big, and fail this badly, without significant blowback; political, military and economic.

The Writing Is on the Wall

One big surprise in the classified docs is that there are so few true surprises. ...

... And one specific item that is not shocking at all is that Ukraine is fast running out of ammunition, namely running out of anti-aircraft missiles along with artillery rounds. Hold that thought.

Right. Actual military experts knew all along that this would happen. Doug Macgregor, Scott Ritter, and the rest of those not beholden to the Ruling Class. And those experts have been pointing to exactly what KIng says next:

Allow me to distill two years of study at the Naval War College into two short sentences:

1) Armies fight battles, but energy, industry and logistics win wars.

2) Modern war is industrial war, certainly when the conflict involves large nations.

But in modern war the army that prevails is also the one with ample fuel, equipment, ammunition and a system of logistics and organization designed to blow the total heck out of the other side. ...

... those leaked documents, ... tell a story of Russian forces holding an absolute, overwhelming material advantage in every respect over the forces of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, neither the U.S. nor NATO countries possess sufficient military-industrial base to match what Russia can field on a routine basis. ...

Now, somebody leaked out just enough classified materials to inform the public about the precarious state of affairs for Ukraine, with all the attendant dangers to the U.S. and NATO when the roof caves in.

Sure, many military experts already knew this, but the public didn’t because that was not part of the prevailing political narrative.

This timely leak offers a critical warning.

Is anybody listening? Because on the other side of this mess, one way or another we’re all going to live in a very different world.

The military experts knew this all along, as did most of the intel experts. They’ve been trying to warn about what’s coming, but now things have gotten to the I-told-you-so CYA stage. That doesn’t absolve the military and the IC. They’ve been in on this for years and years, and when Trump tried to slow this down they took him out. With the help of the Republicans—McConnell, Bluto Barr, and many others. The real question for the nation is, will the changes in the world lead to changes in how this country is ruled. I see no reason for optimism.
