America's Zionist Trap Redux
Alastair Crooke’s latest article discusses what I’ve referred to as America’s Zionist Trap. However, he does so by pointing to what he identifies as:
The Unspoken Elephant in the Room of Netanyahu’s Intent in Gaza
According to Crooke there's an elephant in the room of the Israeli war on Gaza. The West seems to be a bit slow on the uptake, but the rest of the world has been "transfixed" by the sight. The clear signal that there's a pachyderm in the room is the shambles of US diplomacy--nobody in the region, not Israel and not the Arab states--has made any pretense of actually listening to the hapless Tony Blinken as he traveled the region. When they condescended to meet with him at all, they simply lectured him. Because they know there's an elephant in the room with them, as the WaPo has also noted:
"The truth is that the White House cannot force Israel to do its will – the Israeli lobby holds more clout in Congress than any White House team. Thus, ‘no exit’ from the Israeli crisis is readily to be seen."
Zhou cooked his goose when he met with Netanyahu and gave him unconditional support for anything he chose to do. Netanyahu immediately chose genocide and ethnic cleansing, and that was it. The impotence of the American Ruling Class in the face of the dominant Israel Lobby was revealed for the whole world to see.
In the meantime, Israel continues its war on Gaza. Not so much on Hamas. We're seeing no prisoners, no dead Hamas fighters. Even Israeli soldiers admit that there are no boots on the ground, so far--the boots remain inside the IDF's armored vehicles:
“All we’ve done is ride around in our armored vehicles. The boots on the ground stuff will come later”.
But that leads to a further question: At whom have the 25k tons of high explosives been directed (the Hiroshima nuke was the equivalent of 15k tons)? The obvious answer is: civilians. This is nothing more than part of the drive to force Gazans toward Egypt. Civilian infrastructure is what's being targeted--Hamas remains safely ensconced in their tunnels, beyond reach of Israeli bombs. There is nothing humanitarian going on. This is a planned Nakba 2.0.
And America is being tainted by its complicity in this continuing, planned war crime, as the clock continues to run. American has been feeding the Israeli war machine round the clock. The longer this goes on, the worse we look, the more impotent we look.
The Israeli military itself is uneasy about their prospects for success--however that might be defined. It's unclear to the generals:
Haaretz defense correspondent, Amos Harel, writes that Israel is only now coming to understand the scope and sophistication of the underground Hamas facilities. He acknowledges that the ‘military brass’ – unlike the cabinet circles – “is not talking about eradicating the seed of Amalek” (a biblical reference to the extermination of the Amalek people) – i.e. genocide. But even the IDF military leaders are not sure about their ‘end-purpose’, he notes.
On the other hand, as Doug Macgregor has said, Netanyahu has America where he wants it. The WH dithers about ceasefires, or pauses, or something--anything to get out of the uncomfortable light of the truth of what’s going on. And Netanyahu flips the WH off—again, the WaPo reveals the uncomfortable truth:
“We will not stop”, Netanyahu has said; “there will be no ceasefire”. Whilst, in the White House, an Administration insider admits:
“They’re watching a train wreck, and they can’t do anything about it. The train wreck is in Gaza, but the explosion is in the region. They know [they can’t] actually stop the Israelis from what they’re doing”.
That's the elephant, and the rest of the world sees it, and marvels. America has no choice but to participate in genocide on the world stage with everyone watching—because the Israel Lobby owns the American Empire and demands that we participate. That’s the secret: campaign donors own you, and the more they contribute the deeper in hock you are.
Hezbollah's Seyed Nasrallah has been clear that he has no interest in a regional war, whatever Netanyahu's interest may be in a regional conflagration aimed at Iran. Nasrallah's position is that the US is the master of its own fate and of the region's fate--all America needs to do is rein in Israel, force Israel to stop the killing, the ethnic cleansing. Oh--that hurts. Nasrallah must know that's impossible—that America is impotent in the face of the Israel Lobby. But if America fails, Hezbollah reserves the right to intervene:
[Hezbollah's] demand is clear: Stop the killing of civilians; stop the attacks and bring about a ceasefire. No expulsions; no new Nakba. In specific terms, the U.S. was warned to ‘expect pain’ if the attack on Gaza is not quickly stopped. How much time is left to bring this cessation about (if it is even possible)? There are no timeline specifics.
That doesn’t actually sound so unreasonable, does it? Compared to the chants of “No ceasefire!” or “Let Israel Finish the Job!” coming from Zionists?
Zhou, and we with him, is caught between two forces that America has no control over—Zionism and the voice of human conscience. But Zhou can't wiggle out of the Zionist Trap by openly admitting the obvious--that Netanyahu and the Israel Lobby own America's government—because Hezbollah has called America's bluff. For Zhou to make such an admission would be to admit to his own essential impotence. America is responsible for much of the two decades of killing, dislocation, and chaos in the Middle East, suckered by high sounding rhetoric to mask the inhumanity of our Zionist inspired policies. We were going to destroy al Qaeda, but then we went on to fund and equip not only al Qaeda but also its evil twin, ISIS. We’re also directly responsible for 500k dead Ukrainians. And now having gone this far we're stuck in a Zionist trap of our won construction.
Nobody feels any sympathy for America's plight at this point. Indeed, we see now why Putin recently referred to our Neocon rulers as "scum". Ukraine could have been a freer and happier country had the Neocons to allowed Ukraine to accept Russia's very reasonable terms. Now Ukraine faces utter destruction as a nation. Meanwhile, tiring of one moral and military failure, America turns its back on Ukraine and turns to the Middle East, deepening the misery, as the Neocons allow Netanyahu to lead us toward a regional war.
Can anyone stop this runaway train?

#Israel admitted that its occupation forces were not exposed to gunfire while storming & searching Al-Shifa hospital. All the lies produced in recent weeks to "justify the bombing of the hospital" were as expected. Israel wants to evacuate patients and doctors to force an exodus.
In justifying Israel's invasion of Gaza's Shifa Hospital, the Pentagon has essentially admitted that its own intelligence assessment asserting that Hamas military sites are concealed beneath the hospital is nothing more than recycled Israeli propaganda.
Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon spokeswoman, told reporters on November 15 that US intelligence had no "boots on the ground," nor any intelligence assets capable of independently gathering intelligence from or about Shifa. When asked if the declassified intel briefing asserting that Hamas and Islamic Jihad operate inside the hospitals arrived through Washington's "Israeli counterparts," she refused to answer.
Israel's attempt to brand Gaza's hospitals as covert military bases is not only aimed at justifying its violent takeover of those facilities – a war crime that was once unthinkable. It is also designed to conceal its ulterior genocidal goal of eliminating the centers of life from northern Gaza, especially the hospitals which have provided sanctuary and medical care for tens of thousands of displaced people, thereby forcing the population to migrate south toward Egypt. Once northern Gaza is cleansed of its native population, Tel Aviv plans to pressure Egypt to accept displaced Palestinians in tent cities in the Sinai, where they can then be resettled in the region or permanently scattered across the West.

The Biden administration is therefore repackaging Israeli propaganda as a declassified "intelligence assessment" to support one of the great atrocities of our time: a modern day Nakba aimed at the ethnically cleansing of Gaza and consolidation of Israel's system of apartheid as a permanent fact of life.

But it's not just the Israel Lobby, it's the Western Oligarch's of which the most active and vocal are Jews. They are funding and the most active in the transformation of not just American, but the West, and that's not enough they want the whole world under their thumb hence the great re-set. 75% of all political donations buys a lot of influence and this bends the recipients to do their will. We all know it and are afraid to say it for the potential threats that are sure to come our way.
Great effort, Mark. Yes, the neocons really have given Netanyahu a blank cheque for genocide. The Two Alexes take it even further in their latest video. They talk about the staggering build up of US forces in the Eastern Med and ME. For them, this can only mean one thing: the neocons are ready for their next play - war with Iran. However, they failed to mention two more elephants in the room - Russia and China. Will they stand by and let Iran duke it out with the US, or will they get involved? Whatever the outcome, we are back in 1989: trying to shuffle an evil old empire off stage into the dustbin of history without them setting the world on fire.
