Here in the US all public opinion polls show that Americans are focused on inflation. That’s understandable. To the extent that they think about Ukraine, they’re overwhelmingly in favor of sending the Ukrainians any amount of weaponry. Americans, after all, are reflexively in love with underdogs, especially underdogs who have been attacked by big bullies without provocation. That’s America’s place in the world—defending helpless underdogs against bullies whom we can easily put in their place, without inconvenience to our way of life over here. That’s stuff that happens “over there” and we don’t need to pay much attention to it, except to high five one another at the inevitable and well deserved victory. I hope you recognized Russia’s position in that narrative.
As usual the entire Texas (R) delegation voted for warlike actions. I still say they are the G.U.P. (Globalists United Party), not the G.O.P. which expired some years ago, killed by the highly infectious virus called globalism which has been endemic since the cold war ended.
"Appropriate" if one's POV agrees w/the puppet masters, in which case, it matters not how violent or contrived. But let it be entirely organic, a fairly peaceful expression of the feelings of The People. That gets you locked away w/out bail in the most sordid conditions imaginable for 1.5 yrs & counting...
Meanwhile--a realitythat Putin is doubtless fully aware of--we don't have a functioning CinC. My wife says social media has "exploded" over Zhou's sad performance today, when he obviously couldn't either recognize or phonetically "sound out" the word "kleptocracy."
This asset forfeiture writ large has set such a terrible precedent ... form seizing the assets of suspected drug dealers and others, to stealing the reserves of a foreign superpower, to stealing the riches of those of a nationality that our elites currently do not like ... who is next? Whether it is the seizure of our oligarch's assets, or of your assets and mine, it is wrong and needs to be stopped. What do we do?

One post I read with the Kleptocracy clip was captioned "It's malfunctioning" ... the "it's" says it all really.
