Mercouris says “informal networks” rather than Ruling Class. That works too, I suppose. Biden is the best thing that has happened to Trump's candidacy and the Republican party, so he and they have little motivation to impeach. The blatant incompetence, corruption and senility are driving the populace inexorably away from the Democrats. When the 2020 election theft evidence is presented in one of Trump's court cases, the 2024 race will be over.

The verdict is already in. Half the Country is outraged that they are going forward, and any convictions will only make matters worse. No Civil War could resolve this, as what is needed is that our government comes together with its citizens. This is unlikely given the path chosen forward. Washington will just have to get used to being regarded as a circus, as the Turkish proverb states: "When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn't become a king. The palace turns into a circus." Good luck on gathering public support for anything you want to do.

They made no attempt, just more gaslighting. This means that they must really think their plan is working. That also explains the speeding up of the coup. There is no hope from within the current DC system and set-up. It is doomed, impeachment or no impeachment. The only "cure" is to let it all collapse and build back from the roots. You can't even hope for a good old military coup by some Pinochet-type figure that puts these scum up against the wall. Today's military would only rebel if the government banned camouflage tutus and "gay pride" parades. We are locked into a cycle of civilisational decline that has to run its course.

Older people who don't look at the computer or substacks are still hearing the MSM saying that Trump needs to go to jail. This one-sided daily onslaught is hard to counter. Younger people are distracted by not being able to find apartments to rent or buy a car. Basic needs are being made unaffordable.

A quick impeachment solves nothing for the reasons you articulate Mark. People need to see it, feel it and smell the overwhelming stink of corruption destroying their lives and the country. Nothing really changes until the majority wakes up to this. And so it has to continue until it’s so bad they can’t look away or ignore it anymore - they have to speak up and take serious action to force real change. Sadly, we are not there yet.
