Very good article, with some terrific insights and "Follow the Money" explanations about how we got to here. I happen to believe that we HAD to get to here. This is where the 3D chess game is supposed to be, at this point in time. Barr had to do what he's done to get us to here, because had he acted earlier, done the right thing earlier, we wouldn't be where we are now, he could have short-circuited the game, and many bad actors would have remained on the board, who now stand exposed for everyone to see. I may just be some old English bloke, but I'm following the game as closely as I can, I know that if America doesn't win, none of us do! Stay the course, hold the line, NCSWIC!

Kash Patel on "Kash's Corner" on Epoch TV... A very interesting discussion on the "National Defense Information" act, the "Classified Materials" act, and the "Presidential Records" act, how these the apply, historical background, etc.

Started at 8pm, can be streamed at any time. Very useful and so far, at least as good as J Turley's piece.

This was an incredibly useful 40 minute show, most strongly recommended.

"There is no way they're going to allow DeSantis to win the nomination, nor Trump to win the general, for the Republicans."

Fixed it.

(Well, actually I do see how they could enrage a decisive number of Trump supporters so completely that they refuse to vote for DeSantis if he does win the nomination, thus ensuring a DeSantis loss and four more years of what we currently have, only worse and even more irreversible. But that will be the fallback plan. The primary plan is to demolish Trump's appeal for the general while giving him superpowers for the primary. So far, so good if you're the deep state swampy type, don't you think? This isn't rocket science, people.)

In O/T; from Rybar;

Rybar in English

@rybar_en 6h

Speaking of preparing NATO countries for more active intervention in the conflict in Ukraine: our sources in the Norwegian army report a massive recruitment of paramedics and doctors under contract.

Rybar in English

@rybar_en 6h

According to the terms, the signatories of the contract do not have the right to disclose more detailed information, including the exact destination. The departure date for most of the recruits is June 23. The contract is for a period of six months

Rybar in English

@rybar_en 6h

A large group of mercenaries, medics and doctors will arrive from the Scandinavian countries by the end of June. Recruitment is only among people with combat experience as part of a NATO multinational battle group, for example, in Afghanistan.

Rybar in English

@rybar_en 6h

The search for precisely the medical staff is not accidental: in early June, during the attack on Belgorod Region, we wrote that the AFU used medics to evacuate dead and wounded from the battlefield so they do not fall into the hands of Russian military personnel.

Rybar in English

@rybar_en 6h

And the chosen date of arrival indicates that around the end of June-beginning of July, the most active phase of the offensive of Ukrainian formations should be expected. Right now, the AFU are trying to wear down our fighters.

Our two party system has one group which is the party of slavery, succession, segregation, and socialism.

That is to say, the democrats have been opposed to the American ideal for most of their existence. They hate America and ever since they lost the first war, they have been trying to punish America for that defeat.

Why would they care about the 2020 Summer of Love riots, when Sherman's March is tattooed to their DNA?

They plan to win unconditionally.

This is why Sarah Palin was taken out, Donald Trump is a past, present, and future target, and Kari Lake must be thoroughly dispatched, with prejudice if necessary.

They hate.

Thinking a bit out loud here, but I believe we will need Russia and China to continue to do their part to drive wedges in the EU, UK, & US economically and politically. I mean countries like Saudi Arabia have already turned their back on the US. I expect more to follow.

The US and UK are already doing a terrific, bang-up job “fracturing” (Crooke) the EU. All for a basket-case morally corrupt money-laundering center a/k/a Ukraine.

Kudos to both you and Ms. Widburg. Just one problem. She ends off with:

"The damage I caused to our constitutional system of government, the economy, and the lives of the American people would be irrelevant to me. I would have attained total power, and that was always the only thing that mattered."

You now have total power, but the system you now own is damaged. What you now control is worth much less, and may even be a liability rather than an advantage. Having destroyed a viable, self-sustaining country and economy, all that remains are lots of mouths to feed and a lot of malcontents, plus your net worth has gone down, not up.

Look at modern US history--do you really think that they think that far ahead?

Sadly, no. But the masses, including the illegals, will get their bread and circuses, like it or not.

Just a quick note from UK as I still need to head to the links but I think this is on topic; Boris Johnson has just resigned his seat. Long story short - 'they' were witch hunting him, again and so he's quit. This triggers a bi election for his seat. Now that's news in and of itself but what's making me sit up is one of his closest allies unexpectedly quit her seat this morning mere hours after saying she wouldn't. There has been a subtle culling from government positions of all Brexiteers and traditional conservatives under Sunak and I believe that today marks an attempt to bring down his government. There is definitely a civil war in the party for its soul. Both Johnson and Dorries' seats are considered safe seats for Conservatives but our version of the midterms and the last couple of bi- elections in safe seats trounced the Tories. It may be that more MPs stand down in coming days. I could be wrong but watch this space.

The last 3-5 years have been important ones. I did not know how “steered” I had been. I took all the good conservative positions, including verbally defending corporations and their “right” to do as they pleased. I had always opposed minimum wage laws. What I didn’t realize was that corporations were using their size, influence, and dollars in order to become de facto lawmakers.

I was “knee-jerk” pro-military and proud of our nation’s large defense budget.

“The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.”

It is wrong for CEO’s to collect $45 million paychecks when the laborers are begging for overtime to keep their families afloat.

It is wrong for us to have troops, in what? 100 countries, guarding who knows how many biolabs.

Who gets the return on the yearly $1+ trillion spent by taxpayers on “security”? Whose security?

Expand full comment

Absolutely.

Though I would say taxpayers didn't cough up that trillion for "security". The government has already spent 30 trillion that it has no intention of repaying. The Fed prints money and the government spends it without our say because the government knows we didn't earn it, and quite frankly the uniparty has succeeded in ensuring no one can get voted out of office for spending too much money on government services for constituents.

To riff on the old Soviet joke, "we pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us",

We pretend to pay taxes for government services, and they pretend our taxes pay for government services.

You'll want to read Turley:

https://jonathanturley.org/2023/06/09/the-aha-moment-the-trump-indictment-could-prove-revealing-for-either-trump-or-the-doj/

Especially read what he says about false statement charges. Then recall that I've always been worked up about Scalia mindlessly empowering that statute.

Democracy has been declining across the west for many decades, if it ever even truly existed. It happens in such slow incremental steps though, that it is no wonder we didn't notice until almost too late.
