Since Obama would still have been president, one presumes that these two Americans discussing foreign policy with Ukrainian soldiers were reflecting official US policy: As usual, while Americans may have paid little attention, the Russians certainly would have. This kind of talk isn’t cheap and isn’t without consequences. Who’s to blame? Unless Lindsey! is officially rebuked by the Zhou administration for his latest antics—re assassination of a foreign leader—what incentive does Putin have to seek compromise with the US?
USDoS disavows tweet from USEmb Kiev and asks all embassies that may have retweeted to "un-retweet". It's a tweet accusing Russia of war crimes, probably based on Ukraine disinfo--with which the interwebs are full. One thing to do propaganda, but that's an official accusation.
I just read that the “war crime” accusation had to do with the Russian attack and takeover of the nuclear power facility. It is conceivable that the accusation was triggered by what was assumed to be a potential Chernobyl effect due to the Russian attack. Then it was determined that no serious harm had been done and the Russians were running the power plant. That could have triggered the backpedaliing.
Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the United States, said the remarks were “irresponsible and dangerous.”
“The degree of Russophobia and hatred in the USA towards Russia is off the charts. It’s unbelievable that a country’s senator preaching his moral values as a ‘guiding star’ to all mankind could afford a call on terrorism as a way to achieve Washington’s goals on the international arena,” Antonov said in a statement released by the Russian embassy.
He also said that “It’s getting scary for the fate of the United States, which has such irresponsible and unprofessional politicians at the helm,” and demanded an official explanation and a decisive condemnation of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) comments.
You don't need to agree with all of Pat B.'s views (and I don't) to come to the realization that he is often proven right in his predictions and in his political sentiments.
I love it!! All these people showing their true colors. Who is screaming the loudest? HRC, Soros, Pelosis, Biden, etc. Ukraine was their piggy bank for year. Clinton Foundation received 10 million from them.
But it's sad to see conservatives who are sucked into thinking that the Russians are our enemies. They don't see that supporting Ukraine is supporting the Global New World Order--and that those are our real enemies, the enemies of normal human nature.
I agree but the mockingbird media is feeding it hard and fast. What is truly sad is that we grew up thinking these people can be trusted (congress, President, media, etc). Good news is some people are waking up to the realization that all they are pushing is propaganda. I go back the prussiagate subtrack.com article. Although it was not written very well it does make you realize these people still exist and still doing what they did pre-WW2.
Putin is not part of the NWO. Those who are, are in fact trying to leverage Ukraine against him exactly because he is not. They want to overthrow him and make Russia a vassal state to the NWO.
Based on his words Putin is primarily interested in the security of the Russian state. I have not heard him ever express a desire to reconstitute the USSR, although he has expressed regrets that the USSR came apart as it did.
The reality of the situation is that Ukraine geographically is a buffer state between great powers (the EU and its military arm, NATO) and Russia. As such it will always be subject to being used as a tool of one or the other great powers. Russia will not abide Ukraine having NATO membership nor having NATO or western missiles in it nor having militias funded and armed by NATO or the west in it.
If Ukraine had agreed to become "neutral" and not join the EU or NATO, and if those organizations had agreed to this prohibition; if Ukraine had agreed not to accept funding for offensive military actions by either its military or "neo-Nazi" groups from the West; if Ukraine would not have had western missiles in it; based on Putin's words Russia would have been happy. But they never agreed to those conditions over a period of years and still haven't. That is why we have a war now.
McCain is dead, Lindsey! is brain dead.
Lindsey, sad to say my senator, never met a war he didn't like.
No one of any consequence will run against him. He is too well-connected and well-financed.

'This is an exceptionally bad idea,' Ted Cruz said.
Last night Lindsey Graham repeated his call for the assassination of Putin on FOX News. The tweet is still up.
Evidently, calling for the murder of a foreign leader is allowed on Twitter but challenging COVID dogma will get you banned?
Laura Ingraham called Lindsey’s remarks “really stupid and dangerous” and “a stupid comment” on her show last night.
Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the United States, said the remarks were “irresponsible and dangerous.”

Lindsey can usually be found in a hallway at the Capitol, looking for a reporter with a camera and a mic.
Here is a thought-provoking article from Patrick Buchanan:
Did We Provoke Putin’s War in Ukraine?
https://www.takimag.com/article/__trashed-5/
Buchanan makes a pretty good case in support of his headline.
You don't need to agree with all of Pat B.'s views (and I don't) to come to the realization that he is often proven right in his predictions and in his political sentiments.
Maybe you should rethink, read some of Buchanan's published works.
