Our Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, made it basically impossible for interest groups to simply buy our politicians. Interest groups never truly own our government. Through the genius of regularly scheduled elections our politicians must be rented, and the rental fee can vary depending on circumstances. At least that’s how it seems to me. Am I missing something? OK, by using rental payments to position interest group members in the permanent government, the bureaucracy, the rental arrangement can approach actual ownership, but you get my idea.
So, what’s the current cost for renting America? American politicians don’t come cheap. They know their worth—to those who would pay for their services. OTOH, one assumes that the rewards that come from renting their services far outweigh the expense. So consider this:
What does this tell us? How much does this tell us? Maybe these fabulously wealthy people are just stupid and are throwing their money away pointlessly. Well, I don’t overestimate their true intelligence, but I think they’re shrewd enough to assess when they’re getting their money’s worth. My guess is that the rental cost rose sharply in 2020 due to fear that the Orange Man would upset the apple cart of the rental class if given a second term—I leave the reader to determine what the contents of that cart were, but certainly it included Ukraine. My further guess is that the rental cost will escalate hugely in the runup to November—with major wars possibly preceding the election.
I continue in impressionistic mode. I present two contrasting views—or maybe they’re complementary. One somewhat highbrow, the other more in the “populist” vein:

Who controls the USA? A simplified guide as Q&A
Q: Who controls the USA?
A: The Deep State, the CIA, but also very powerful lobby groups such as the Israel lobby group AIPAC or arms lobby groups
Q: Whose interests do the CIA, the Deep State and those lobby groups serve?
A: The large defense contractors and other corporations from various sectors and their superordinate financial corporations.
Q: How do the financial corporations control the population and politicians so that they play along?
A: - Narrative control by US government or corporate owned/funded: media, think tanks, various educational institutions, the entertainment industry (soft power) and NGOs
- Non-partisan appointment of puppet politicians promoted in election campaigns with money from lobby groups/corporations.
Q: What about the so-called NeoCons?
A: They form the fanatical, hegemonic, imperial, bipartisan and highly influential group in US politics that infiltrates the deep state and the CIA. The NeoCons are the spearhead for the maintenance and expansion of US hegemony. The USA as an imperial hegemon with its subordinate institutions such as the IMF, the BIS or NATO is the guarantor of the global financial USD system in order to dominate the world power and control the world's resources in lockstep with or for the global corporations.
Here is a video that backs up the above - particularly interesting are the statements of former US officials at the highest levels of government.

Now, this next. I don’t suppose it represents anything like a majority opinion. But then it doesn’t take a majority to make a revolution—a critical minority, a spark, boom! I’m wondering to what degree views like those of this veteran resonate across the country. The answer is bound to be anecdotal, but I suspect that there’s more of this sentiment out there than meets the eye of MSM viewers. The growing disaffection of the Dem base may be a clue. Support for Trump? Does that reflect more a true belief that he can turn the country around (we all know that one man can’t do that), or is it more a desire to poke the ruling—or renting—class in the eye?

Many Americans are surging to support Russia. It is becoming an epidemic for the US to be honest. Many can't understand why Americans are turning to Russia for inspiration.
The answer is clear, take me for example. I am an American veteran, Texan by the grace of God and I stand with Russia. I used to be a passionate conservative, Republican and I spent years of my life defending Trump.
Now, I couldn't care less what happens in American politics. Biden wins? I don't care, Trump wins? Doesn't matter, dog catcher or sandwich maker wins the election? Un-important. Hillary wins, or Washington rises from the grave to win the presidency? Couldn't care less. Trump goes to jail? Obama, Clinton? Really Doesn't matter.
The reason myself and so, so many Americans are disengaging from American matters and politics is multifaceted. To begin, we know the voting system is rigged, a complete and utter sham, we do not pick our leaders.
In addition, we know that whomever does get elected regardless if it's low office or president, they all pledge allegiance to Israel far above America. We know the face, name and letter next to the name has no importance over policy or the direction of America. It will still lead to wars, higher cost of living, open borders, higher taxes and more money flooded to other countries that are not the USA.
So we realize, if voting doesn't matter, if too many people are still asleep and can't see this, and if nothing will ever change, what's the point in caring or even following American politics? It's irrelevant, America is a fallen country.
So we look to Russia, a land that still matters, a true leader, a real election process, and a people and culture actually valued and protected by their leaders and by the grace of God not falling to a knee for Israel. We see a strong nation and people, traditional values promoted, family, work, culture, and willing to protect it at all cost.
The only thing America is willing to die for seems to be Israel and Ukraine, so what is there to follow or be passionate about here to be honest?
This is why so many of us flock to Russia, they still are alive, still not fallen, still have a fighting chance. It's really not hard to understand at all.
You call me traitor, I just smile as I watch you still fighting over gender, bathrooms, pronouns, you're president on trial, the police you back oppress you, putting on your masks, having your vote stolen, your borders flooded and your money sent away to other lands and your sons and daughters die in endless wars. Your inflation, dying economy, ever gay society, sick people and lowest academic scores on earth. You keep it up America, you're doing just great. Don't forget, vote Trump! Or Biden! Or whoever, who the hell cares meanwhile, Russia is thriving.

Mr. Draven is definitely on to something and it is not a small thing. The larger point is that when the U.S. federal government is seen to no longer represent the beliefs, morals, or interests of the majority or even large minority of its "subject" population - when other countries start to look better - what is the basis on which people will want to continue serving the U.S. government through their taxes, military service, or in any other way. What will stop them from the "soft resistance" of working around the government laws and rules and subverting it in any ways possible? Therein lies the path to the demise of the Federal Government whether it be explicit or implicit - much like the demise of the USSR happened. One day everyone woke up and it was gone but the rot was eating away at it long before then.
