The conflict in Ukraine is about the West's imperative of dominating Eurasia. Destabilizing, regime-changing and break-up of Russia is the key pre-requisite for this. Enlarging NATO, piling up troops and weapons near Russia's borders is not about defence.
While Americans overwhelmingly paid zero attention to this kind of talk, I guarantee you that the Russians sat up and took notice.

I’m going to go with the “invaded by space aliens” option, because nothing else even comes close to making any sense. WTH is going on in these peoples minds? They are apparently as ignorant of history as they are of the unintended consequences of this kind of foolishness.
