Who? There is no one yet. This is the fundamental problem for the US/West. There are zero “elites” or “leaders” in the West. Why? Because “power” no longer matters. It is all going to be about “authority.”
The US has not produced real elites since about 1970. There was no need at the time. Globalism reigned supreme. No one conceived of a change in Paradigm because of Digital.
No formal or informal education/formation of elites was happening in the West. It was all about individualism and all that goes with that.
Then computers blew up the world in the last 25 years. No more globalism. No leaders to deal with it (because no one was looking through the windshield, just the rearview mirror).
No plan in place to cultivate and form elites/leaders. This is counter to how the Chinese, for example, have dealt with this since the 90s.
So who will fill the gap? Who has the $ and thinks they will come out on top? The Digital elites within the Digital Sphere. Worldwide (outside of China) these are who will be looked to. They have the $ (which is superficial lense of the West) and the confidence to “fix” the humans and the world through tech (think alchemy and making golden souls). But what are their real views and understanding of the West and humans? They have their own formation plans, apart from the rest of the West.
Who else? Gen Z is gettng louder. Gens Alpha and Beta coming…anyone take formation seriously?
