CORRECTION: My bad. I originally said PAID when I should have said OFFERED. It really doesn’t matter. Someone well above Auten’s pay grade had to approve that.
The money was supposed to induce Steele to verify the BS that was the “dossier”. Steele never did provide verification, for the simple reason that there was none. Nevertheless, the “dossier” continued to be used as the predication for the fraudulent FISAs—Andy McCabe said so in so many words. It was also, and very importantly, the predication for Crossfire Hurricane and was, therefore, the basis for the Mueller Witchhunt. It was all a giant fraud. The real question is: Why isn’t Durham prosecuting people in the FBI?
According to reporting today, analyst Brian Auten testified under oath that Steele was paid all that money. Why is Auten testifying to that? Is there anyone out there who actually believes that an FBI analyst has the authority to approve payments to informants? There is a person with a name who approved that $1 million dollar payment and, unlike Steele’s “dossier”, the identity of that person is readily verifiable. I can’t tell you who that person was, but I can tell you that they ranked well above Brian Auten. Why did that person not testify?
I’m disgusted. Now readers should see why I kept yakking about “predication”. This was nothing but a coup, a deliberate crippling of the elected POTUS. I have no reason any longer to believe that Durham has ever intended to reveal the true story.
Very Briefly Noted: The FBI Offered Chris Steele $1 Million.
Buck stops with Trump - he failed with Sessions, had a second chance and blew it with Barr. I know Mitch stonewalled him but he never called him out on it, even campaigned for Mitch's re-election.
As far as I am concerned, this particular factoid, combined with Warp speed, should make Trump, for all of his qualities, ineligible as a candidate for '24.
I don't care that Ron Desantis maybe a RINO, at least he is competent.
Good news is this came out.
And it’s due to Durham:

My expectations for Durham are more bombshells will come out in the last trial. I hope Durham uses the trial to expose all the stuff that has been hinted at (congressionbsl gang of 8, us and foreign Intel agency involvement, etc).
I expect zero convictions, unfortunately. Barr has done an incredible job of protecting government employees.
