Update On The Paranoid Style In American Politics
Just a few days ago in The Deep State Mentality I wrote:
Since 1964 we’ve had essentially nothing but conspiracy theories from the Left that demonize normal Americans. With the complicity of the MSM that paranoid style—that also normalizes calls for violence against the non-Left of America—has become the norm in politics. On the Left.
Now we have some confirmation of that from polling. I’m sure most readers have seen various Dem celebs and talking heads claiming that Trump “staged”, i.e., faked the assassination attempt. Those people are not exactly outliers on the Left. They’re not the majority, but they represent a disturbingly large percentage:

Over one-third of Dems believe the shooting may have been staged. The press has no comment, unlike years of "Q" accusations.

What the tweet is trying to say, as I was trying to say, is that Left wing voters are increasingly susceptible to conspiracy theories that most people recognize as hoaxes than mainstream conservatives have ever been. The Ruling Class understands this and caters to this. It’s their base.
A femininized culture.
To be fair, both sides indulge in conspiracy theories. The Q brigade is also coming out with a lot of crazy stuff, including the one about it all being a brilliant Trump 4D chess set-up. I'll stick with the biggest conspiracy theory of them all: sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
