There appears to be continuing discord in NATO. One can be forgiven for ignoring the views of Estonia, which is little more than a forward base for US and UK forces. However, when the US, Poland, and Germany appear to be at odds, that’s more significant ‘going forward’, as the cant phrase goes.
Yesterday Poland proposed a NATO “peace keeping” force be deployed in Ukraine. I’m sure Putin had a good laugh at that one. It didn’t take long for a German reaction. One interesting aspect of what’s going on here is that the current Polish government must be very much conflicted as to how to react. The vice premier referred to in the tweet below is Jarosław Kaczyński, who is notoriously anti-Russian but also anti-German (he has said, perhaps correctly, that the EU is basically a stalking horse for a Fourth Reich). Poland is once more caught betwixt and between two larger powers, but seems determined to remain in good graces with an American regime which, in its current form, certainly doesn’t respond well to Polish cultural views. One wonders about the future.
Anyway:
The real story, the main story, is simply this:
The US wants to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, and so—after initialing being warm to the idea of neutrality …
Psaki gives the game away, but so does the question, which is, in effect, “Is the US actually allowing Zelenskiy to negotiate with Russia, or is there some part of being the head of a sovereign state that I don’t understand?”
None of which was exactly news to Russia:
Is there a back story to what’s going on—a back story with deep roots in US and Globalist politics? The guy in the video is Harley Schlanger, who is associated with the Larouche movement, but I find what he’s saying—the way he ties the rage against Trump into the current conflict, and more—persuasive. Don’t shoot the messenger:
Could we have a conversation about One World Oligarchic ambitions?
Whatever the case, here once again are the relevant maps to keep in mind as Russia seeks a solution on its own, inspired by John Mearshimer’s views on the conflict. Mearshimer states that Ukraine is deeply divided, but an important aspect of Ukraine’s division is that the divisions—ethnic, linguistic, and religious in character—fall along a readily observable geographic line. Russia is surely very much aware of all these factors, which is why I’ve repeatedly suggested that Russia NOT interested in a total takeover of Ukraine. When you read the repeated analyses that show that Russia’s main military aims lie in the south and east, and not so much in actually entering Kiev, these pictures make even more sense:
ETHNIC BREAKDOWN OF UKRAINE: (Thread)
Putting the spotlight on the Ethnic Breakdown of Ukraine, International-Relations Theorist Professor John J. Mearsheimer reveals that Ukraine is a badly divided country. (1/6)Take a look below at the ethnolinguistic map of Ukraine as attached below.
The red area depicts the Ukrainian-speaking people, and as we go eastwards, one can find mostly and predominantly Russian-speaking people in yellow and brown areas. (2/6)The country is badly divided between the Russian speakers in the east and the Ukrainian speakers in the west, as depicted in the graph of Ukraine Elections of 2004. (3/6)
The voting patterns in the 2010 elections looked a lot like the voting pattern in the 2004 elections. (4/6)
According to the International Republican Institute Survey, May 2015, people in Western Ukraine intended to join European Union in striking contrast to the unwillingness shown by the people in the East. (5/6)
Similar were the survey results which aimed to enquire about the opinion of the residents of Ukraine regarding joining NATO. Watch below. (6/6)

Watching the US Congress debase itself by providing a platform for a man who arrests his political opponents, closes opposition media, and openly colluded with Nazis is a low point in my life. Nancy Pelosi parroting the Bandera slogan is disturbing. We are not a serious country.

Lavrov:
"I knew that the Americans were ready to prevent any progress towards an equal multipolar world right now in the current conditions, but that they would do such dirty work, not worthy of a Great Power, I could not even think in a terrible dream."
