I’ll say up front that I don’t have anything particularly original to say about the outrageous Zhou regime raid on President Trump’s residence. Others have addressed this event—which is taking on the apppearance of a watershed moment in our republic’s demise—from a variety of standpoints. Let’s start with Will Chamberlain who establishes a sort of a baseline that all honest people will accept:
Note that Chamberlain specifies that the investigations have been ongoing since Trump won the GOP nomination. If he reflected a bit, I’ll bet he’d amend that—it’s a matter of documentable fact that the investigations started before Trump was nominated. But Chamberlain’s main point remains as the baseline. The most investigated president in history, and the awesome investigative powers of the federal intel and LE establishment found NOTHING. Meanwhile, Hillary’s emails and Comey, and Mueller and Wray and Bluto Barr and Hunter and Zhou and grotesque influence peddling in plain view …
Larry Johnson captures this pretty well in longer form. I won’t go into his legal assertions, but …
… The United States now is in the grasp of political partisans who use the law and the police to pursue their own special interests and to punish their political opponents.
Donald Trump’s place in history is now secure. He has been the target of a coup since the very start of his Administration. The coup plotters, which include senior officials in the FBI, the Department of Justice and the Intelligence Community, first pushed the fabrication that Trump was conspiring with Russia to steal the election. That was a lie. Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller failed spectacularly to make a case against Trump. Donald Trump also faced two impeachment trials and beat them both. And now the January 6th Committee is accusing Trump of treason for raising the legitimate question about a possible fraudulent Presidential election. The Washington Establishment is terrified of Trump and is desperate to destroy him. Trump is an existential threat to the status quo.
I am not here to argue that Trump was a perfect President. He was not. His personnel choices–especially his selections to head the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff–were appalling and have come back to bite him in the ass. I know one intelligence officer who regularly briefed Trump. That person also had prior experience briefing Presidents Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. According to my friend, the President who was most attentive, asked the best questions and treated the “help” with respect was Donald Trump. Whatever his other faults, Trump’s treatment of the little people does say something positive about Trump’s character.
Moon of Alabama takes an optimistic view—one which I’ve been turning over in my mind. Will the fundamental sense of fairness, which for all that has come to pass in the last decades in America remains (I believe) ingrained in the public character, be offended, outraged by this? I excerpt only Moon’s comments, not his quotes from news reporting:
Over the weekend the Democrats finally passed their rather mediocre $430 billion Inflation Reduction Act, which will not reduce inflation and is mostly about climate related measures and drugs ... They hope to profit from it in the November midterm election:
But on the very same day the the Justice Department and the FBI handed republicans a huge new rallying point that will significantly increase their election turnout:
…
Is this a 'bombshell'? Are the walls closing in (vid) on Trump? Is this the long awaited 'tipping point' that marks the 'beginning of the end' for Trump?
Of course not.
All attempts to get Trump over fake Russiagate claims or other issues have failed. Some 'classified' documents probably found in the possession of the person who, as president, had the power to declassify them will not change anything.
The raid and the accusations will only increase Trump's and his followers determination to win:
The raid was probably the best Trump could have hoped for:
Even those conservatives who do not like Trump will see the raid as an illegitimate attempt by democrats to prevent another Trump run for the presidency. It is something many will opposed on principal independent of who is targeted.
The White House claims to not have been noticed of the raid. Many people will doubt that.
If Attorney General Merrick B. Garland did not inform the White House he should be fired for political sabotage of the Democrats' campaign. Launching highly political action without informing the boss is a no-no for the Justice Department.
If the White House was informed its hatred for Trump must have pushed it into a very stupid mistake. Allowing the raid at this point of time was the worst thing that could happen to the Democrats.
At the very least Moon is correct that the public will be slapped upside the head with powerful new evidence of federal corruption and Dem lying. He’s also absolutely right—there’s no possible way that the WH wasn’t in on this and gave it the go ahead:
Marc Elias—one of the coup leaders against Trump, who has been sanctioned by federal appellate courts for unethical conduct—gives the game away. But as Moon argues, this has the potential to backfire hugely:
Bonchie at Red State does an excellent job of sketching out the legal issues in a general way:
… the Democrats, using the power of the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus, are trying to take Donald Trump out with selective enforcement of provisions that are normally handled in a civil, not criminal manner. Where have we seen that before?
None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified. Even if Trump was in possession of some documents that needed to be archived, that is the kind of thing that has historically been dealt with in court, not with an FBI raid, and the former president was fully cooperating to this point.
Meanwhile, Hunter Biden has been implicated in multiple federal crimes and his house hasn’t been raided. Hillary Clinton was proven to have illegally retained classified information on a private server, and her house was never raided. This isn’t about Trump not being above the law, as some on the right have naively proclaimed. It’s about a completely different set of rules being applied depending on what political ideology someone adheres to. In simpler terms, it’s about blatant corruption.
Alan Dershowitz, on a number of platforms, gets into the very real legal problems with regard to this search warrant. Here’s a sample:
Back to Bonchie, who sketches out a possible Big Picture. Sadly, in the wake of the Russia Hoax, the Covid Regime, and the war on Russia, what Bonchie is suggesting can no longer be treated as conspiracy theory—as, say, 10 years or so ago many might have done:
Further, it’s about baiting the trap.
William Jacobson and Sean Davis get it:
There is nothing the Biden administration and the left at large want more than another January 6th moment before the mid-terms. They long for it, and they are willing to do anything to try to manipulate a reaction out of the right to feed into their narrative. Why? Because they believe it can save them from certain destruction in November.
Further, the FBI specifically wants justification to fight its war on “domestic terrorism.” They want to crush you and anyone who thinks like you. All they need is some on the right to lash out to enact their plan, and they have the entirety of the country’s institutions, including the press, supporting them.
It increasingly appears that this is an act of desperation. The efforts to establish another National Emergency Regime—J6, Covid, Monkeypox, white supremacy, whatever—are all running into not just a lack of interest but actual pushback. Is this a last desperate throw of the dice? Or am I underestimating the confidence that the Ruling Class has that they can enforce their will?
WEST PALM BEACH, FL — High-level Chinese asset and sex trafficker Hunter Biden breathed a sigh of relief this evening as an FBI raid team passed by his West Palm Beach vacation home to raid Donald Trump's residence in Mar-a-Lago.
"Whew! Thought they had me for a minute there," Biden sighed, according to sources before going back to smoking crack with a hooker on a pile of cash freshly delivered by Chinese agents. "Glad to know the FBI is still working for my Dad!"
The FBI arrived at Mar-a-Lago shortly after, but things got awkward after the FBI raid team ran into the FBI evidence planting team due to a scheduling mistake.
