Regular readers will know that I regularly insist that the former American republic has been transformed, since WW2, into a National Security state. The Deep State and political establishment have been industriously expanding the reach of the concept of national security to include all aspects of national and personal life—notably including public health. From the Russia Hoax to the fake impeachments of President Trump, from the Covid Regime to the engineered J6 “insurrection” and subsequent inquisitions, from the opening of the borders to the Mar-a-Lago raid to the FTX blowup and the Twitter File revelations—the fingerprints of the National Security state are all over these events. And always in the background is Ukraine.
The hallmark of any national security state is a compliant, controlled, media—the free flow of information is anathema to the national security state. Yesterday Kama Sutra pretty much made the transformation official when she explicitly called on the media to get with the program—or else:
VP Harris Demands Social Media Companies "Cooperate And Work With Us" On "Protecting Our Democracy"
Vice President Kamala Harris said on Monday that she expects and “would require” social media companies to work with the Biden administration to prevent so-called misinformation and disinformation, and to “protect democracy.”
Right. That’s a pretty classic formulation to justify a National Security state takeover.
You’re probably asking yourself, With recent revelations about the exent to which media companies of virtually every sort have been shown to be little more than subsidiaries of the Deep State, what does the ruling class have to complain about? The very obvious answer is: Elon Musk.
The Twitter File revelations are a direct threat to the National Security state. Lawyers at DoJ are undoubtedly working feverishly (I believe that would be the mot juste) to justify, who knows what? You can almost hear them saying, Will no one rid us of this troublesome African American?
Going forward it looks like the Senate is now an arm of the National Security state, with about half of Republicans joining the Deep State bloc in seeking to push through an outrageous spending bill, even as the wobbly foundations of our economy are being exposed. It remains to be seen what happens in the House. Will the SCOTUS man up to the crisis? The states? Today we’re seeing where this is heading:
Well, yes, that does seem like a crazy claim.
Now, I’m with those people who are saying that, from any rational military perspective, the provision of Patriots—missiles, I mean—to Ukraine is not going to change the outcome of the conflict. Probably not even by a little. The real question is, will it provoke a response from Russia such that new control measures over the American people can be invoked, citing “national security” once again. That’s speculation, but stranger things have happened.
Speaking of stranger things that have happened, Roger Simon wrote an evocative piece yesterday, riffing off Tucker Carlson’s courageous monologue on the Kennedy assassination. Yes, there is a National Security state connection here. The statutory period for releasing all the Kennedy documents has passed, but both Trump and Zhou have declined to release the remaining documents. National Security reasons? What else would it be? Simon doesn’t offer a list of events over the years of our National Security state, but he does call into question virtually everything that has transpired—including, by implication, lying our way into never ending wars and the Patriot Act. And now Ukraine.
So Simon:
Has American Democracy Been A Hallucination For Nearly 60 Years?
Authored by Roger L. Simon via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),
Call it a democracy, call it a democratic republic, call it a constitutional republic, call it anything you want - it doesn’t really matter what America is if there is truth to what Tucker Carlson was reporting the other night via a source who had “direct knowledge” of still-hidden documents concerning the Kennedy assassination, implicating the CIA.
If indeed the CIA was in any way involved in the assassination of JFK on Nov. 22, 1963, then anything that has happened in the public sphere in our country since that day has basically been a hallucination created by an intelligence agency far deeper than most of us—certainly me, since I was never much given to conspiracy theories—ever imagined.

The question you pose is worth asking. My view is that tehe real problem here isn't a potential "response from Russia". There is a nonzero possibility if such, but I'll point out that we never seriously considered a military response against Russia back when they were supplying SAMs to North Vietnam. But if in fact the Patriots aren't going to change the outcome, then what's the next step? If Ukraine starts to collapse, are we going to send troops? Because Lindsey Graham says we should be "all in" on Ukraine. Does "All in" mean divisions? I'll point out that we have troops in Poland and that any NATO column moving east would require surface to air missile cover, so we'd need to have Patriots in the general vicinity. And the Russians aren't invading Poland, or even deployed in a manner that would facilitate such.
In other words, I'm not worried about "Russian response". I'm not saying that you're wrong to be, but what has me worried is that these people make me think of a poker player who doesn't understand pot odds. Yeah, there's a lot of chips in that pot, but the guy put too many of them in there himself and he didn't think about the chances of actually making his hand.
And one more thing. General Surovikin has thought of this. That Russian troop concentration in Western Belarus might not be aimed at Lvov. It might be there to provide a defensive hard shoulder for his main axis of advance just in case.
Hopefully all of this has been the alcohol talking
So where do we go to find redress of our grievances? Or is that now considered “fomenting an insurrection? Hold on a second, someone’s at the door, be right…………………,
