Of course we assume that Rybar has close connections to the Russian government. What’s really interesting in this are the comments by “Mirek” that follow Rybar’s dry account. If true, we are being provided with a glimpse of the sordid reality of European politics under US hegemony. It continues the long tradition of US rehabilitation of Nazis—starting with the Gehlen Organization.

The results of the 2024-2029 European Parliament elections were clearly not a surprise for Poland.
All Polish parties competed for 53 seats out of 720. The election turnout was lower than five years ago, just over 40%.
Perhaps it was the low turnout that was an advantage for the ruling Civic Platform (CP), whose leader is the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk. They got most of the mandates - 21.
However, the former ruling and now main opposition party behind the leadership of Jaroslaw Kaczynski, Law and Justice (PiS), was not far behind. The results show that they got 19 seats in the EP.
More interestingly, the far-right party Confederation took the third place, supported by more than 12% of voters. This was its best result in the Euro elections. Thus, Confederation deputies will take six seats. Of course, this will not change anything for the general policy of Brussels, but it is a success for the right-wing.
The Third Way coalition came in fourth place: it was supported by 6.91% of voters, which means four seats. And three mandates will go to the New Left.
The elections to the European Parliament in Poland once again reflected the polarity of society: the gap between the results of Tusk's and Kaczynski's parties is only a few percent. At the same time, Civic Platform's slight advantage will in fact change very little in Poland's position directly in the European Parliament: after all, the party acts exclusively accordingly to the general Brussels' policy.

Now, here’s the provocative part—comments by “Mirek”, which is a Polish nickname for Mirosław. Is what he says true? I don’t know. Apparently Lech Wałęsa was considered an informant of the Communist government during the Cold War. It needs to be said that these are complicated issues. The security services might consider someone an informant, while the person in question might view things differently. In what follows, STASI, for those not familiar with the acronym, was the East German security service, considered by many to have been the most competent and dedicated ally of the KGB during the Cold War years. Would the KGB have used the security services of the various Warsaw Pact members to spy on other Warsaw Pact countries? I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t. Would the US do the same within NATO? Well, we know the Danes eavesdropped on Angela Merkel on behalf of the US, so I guess the answer is, Yes.

Tusk openly demonstrates his servility to Germany and the USA even in the smallest matters. Morawiecki did exactly the same as Tusk, but, contrary to obvious facts, he claimed that he was conducting a serious fight against Germany for Poland's sovereignty.
However, at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, Mateusz Morawiecki was registered by STASI under the pseudonyms Student and Jakob. Morawiecki was prime minister in 2017-23 on behalf of PiS, currently in the opposition.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk was registered by STASI in the 1980s as an agent codenamed Oskar.
The STASI agents were taken over by the BND and the Americans.
Admittedly, there’s any amount of accusations and counter accusations that fly back and forth about who was and who wasn’t a Russian agent—or an agent for a Russian proxy of some sort. I provide this as a reminder that the past is not dead.
I have in my library a book about General Gehlon and how the OSS than the CIA essentially employed him and his World War II net work to spy for the CIA. He was a rather fascinating character that somehow survived Hitler and the purge is on the eastern front. As I remember, he was the chief intelligence officer for the eastern front war with Russia how he kept his job I don’t know.
And that what is or isn’t presented to the public on the surface is not in fact real.
