it doesn't take a genius to see that trump is in cognitive decline. he babbles on about unrelated topics. can't form a coherent sentence and glorifies himself about anything. where is a real independent cognitive test done?
Funny every lefty spent the last 4 years with a democrat President that was dimmer than a 6 watt bulb and yet DJT is blasted as being non compos mentis as he brings peace to the Middle East…. Go figure
yes I too have noticed Trump has a not just a monotone, but more quieter as well. Those inflections that we expect in a sentence, their absence is made more noticeable by his "breathlessness".
Something is definitely not right with him. And to add insult to injury, he and MAGA campaigned on the lies the Joe was sharp as a tack.
It's a rare 80-year old individual that's up to the demands of the most pressure-filled job on the planet. Exceedingly rare. Those who do hold it all together, physically and cognitively, have to be exceptionally healthy in both departments. That's not Donald Trump.
Trump's physical appearance has noticeably changed since January 2025. His face has aged. His neck and head jut forward, his shoulders are rounded. His body clock has been sped up this time with his job as President.
Stress really takes a lot out of people. Especially as we age. Surprises don't help.
I'm clinging to hope that he has discovered that everything got so much worse in the four years of Dementia Joe and the plans he had are no longer viable. He's struggling to make things work out as he planned, but he's trying to make new plans on the fly.
He is still trying to keep the pace that he did as a younger man and it is beating him down. I'm only a little younger and I know I just couldn't do that job. When I take on a difficult, sometimes scary, job, like recently repairing a weather vane on a high roof, I'm muttering to myself the whole time. Can feel my heart beat and blood pressure soaring. But I'm determined to prove that I can do it.
When I'm done, I'm wiped out and really need a rest. Trump doesn't take that break. He never learned to relax. Could be that he is losing it from all the stress.
Really hope he's not going to be the second dementia patient in a row. Now is not the time for him to lose his marbles.
I'm getting more discouraged with your posts every week. Too much fear and negativity. Trump simply works too hard for a man his age-- at times it shows-- but then again there is so much to do. We had four years in DC that brought us close to the END of the United States as we know it. Very difficult to unwind with evil now confronting every Trump achievement. I hope Trump will empower J D Vance to do more. We'll need 12 years to get healthy again.
Last November, we were given a choice between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Our prior presidents have included an actual dementia patient, a carnival barker, a Manchurian imposter, a mental midget, and a scam artist. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and Russia descended into a decade of misery and exploitation. Then Putin came out of nowhere and spent two decades successfully rebuilding Russia into unified Christian-based true democracy with a restored work ethic. We cannot rebound without first hitting bottom. Never forget that the first thing Putin did when he became president was to purge the parasitic oligarchs that had been selling out Russia to the West. Our journey off the bottom will take many years, but can shorten it by learning that lesson well.
G'day TomA you are looking at VV Putin and the RF through rose coloured glasses or through the prism of Zanon but he surely did not purge the parasitic oligarchs after his organised rise to the presidency nor is the RF a democracy Christian or otherwise anymore than the US is maybe less so one could argue.
The SMO is partially an oligarchical fued between Dnipro and Donetsk oligarchs and the division of spoils and their alignment to particular siloviki groups from Moscow/StP.
I have not read anything on the change in work ethic in the RF in comparison to the Soviet union era, though a productivity increase would/could be envisaged no doubt but to lay it at the feet of VVP is a rather long bow, if you have any research in relation to it I would be interested to read it.
The RF is not some kind of a Shangri-La as posited by altmedia or Non Rusian pro Russian media commentators that the Kremlin appear to support even though what they posit is contradictory to what is published by the Kremlin and espoused by both Zakharova, Lavrov and Putin but that is just one of the mysteries of this not a war (smo).
Putin was selected after nearly a decade of extreme hardship, exploitation, and dysfunction. It was this interregnum of desperation that created the conditions for his elevation into the presidency. Sadly, our electorate will not vote for someone of his ilk without a similar change in environment. Most importantly, our problem is not solely about a leadership deficit. We, as a people, need to up our game as well. We have too affluent for too long, and that softness will kill us in slow motion if we don't break out of the rut.
G'day again TomA, in regards VVPs organised rise to President and his actions following think about Ryazan sugar and the mass deaths from supposed terrorist bombings of apartment blocks and the utter slaughter and destruction in Chechnya and Grozny in particular by RF military operations. Now think possible false flag like 9/11 and the war on terror and go from there, but VVP is no Orthodox saint TomA is a necessary starting point the same as not believing what the msmedia write as being truth.
Name a Russian leader that has done more for the Russian people. Russia was on its back in the 1990s. That is a fact. Western culture is now trannies, men competing in women's sports, and sex change mutilation of children. You will find none of that in Russia. Which is better?
This is true. VVP isn't a Western style humanitarian--I cited Chechnya and Georgia yesterday--but neither is he a blind imperialist. The wars he has fought have all arguably been to counter Anglo-Zionist moves--including Chechnya.
Regarding Putin and the Oligarchs--do a search on that phrase. While it's true that he didn't necessarily purge them, he took some very tough measures. This war, as I have argued, is likely largely pursued now at the behest of the backers of those oligarchs from outside Russia.
Putin can't change Russian culture single handed, but he is trying--in the right direction.
G'day Mark, the 1996 Khasavyurt peace agreement was signed by Lebed when the Chechnyans were defeated or nigh on so why were so many concessions given them by Yeltsin and co.
Lebed also was directly involved in Transnistria which was eerily similar to Donetsk, same situation Russia signs a dud agreement when it had the whip hand. This has now become de riguer for the RF.
You did not even comment on Ryazan sugar nor the possible false flag apartment bombing and the huge death toll which were used exactly like 9/11 followed by war on terror or in this case bloody war on Chechnyan people, an enemy is always needed by strongman leaders and the 2nd Chechnyan war created the illusion for Putins rise or foundation of power.
It is beyond me that you can be so thorough with your research regarding the deepstate(sic) in the US but are so wantonly blind to exactly the same methods used in USSR or now RF is it cognitive dissonance I wonder????
As to the oligarchs, a few died, more fled, and the remainder bent the knee. Prigozhin's plane crash was not an accident, it was a message. And that message was a lot less damaging and a lot more humane than providing Israel with the bombs to genocide tens of thousands of innocent women and children in Gaza.
All of the empires here on earth have come to an end. Why do we think we are different? Columbus Day is Monday. Wasn’t he an Italian boat captain hired by the Spanish as part of their expansion attempts? Or something like that? I remember playing “king of the hill” as a kid growing up. Same thing. Same concept. We Americans will be knocked off of our perch. Somehow. Someday. Just a question now of the timeline.
Good for you, Mark! I remember when the "Elements of Style" and the Chicago Manual of Style were all the rage and the standard. That was all good and proper for academic and professional standards at the time. But more importantly: Vonu would do well to remember that your site is neither a literary nor an academic nor a professional site which is subject to these publication standards (and Thank God). And I am thankful that we your commentors are not subject to such arbitrary constrictions either.

Well, Sy Hersh!
Trump is crazy like a fox?...or a puppet:

Tx Doozy for the link to M B’s chillng revelations. Do all roads, even through Oslo, lead to Langley and Tel Aviv? “Connect, only connect.”
It is becoming more and more apparent that Tel Aviv has many tentacles, and their reach--their influence--is extensive.
Funny every lefty spent the last 4 years with a democrat President that was dimmer than a 6 watt bulb and yet DJT is blasted as being non compos mentis as he brings peace to the Middle East…. Go figure
your lack of objectivity is noted. trump is so far gone he needs a dementia unit stay.
Dementia for thee but not for me…

SOMEONE JUST OPENED A #BITCOIN SHORT 30 MINS BEFORE TRUMP'S TARIFF ANNOUNCEMENT AND JUST CLOSED WITH $88,000,000 PROFIT
HE OPENED THIS ACCOUNT TODAY
Interesting that he had a profit on a short sale. I thought bitcoin was supposed to perform well on such bad news like this.
Wow!
Just his lucky day, right?
I once found a twenty dollar bill frozen in the ice on a side walk. That was luck.

His father was diagnosed with dementia at the age DJT is today so it sure is a strong probability No.
I've heard that. Hope it's not the case.
Do a search No on AI, hope springs eternal they say but when evidence is at hand.
Master of Disaster
Needs to pass the torch to Vance
Might not be the greatest but a quick fix.
Otherwise Trump is paving the way for the Democrats to win back the White House.
Driving economic collapse and WW3
Ancient Rome Collapsed,
Fighting Foreign Wars on Credit

"evil now confronting every Trump achievement"
So now criticising Trump is evil, we're evil.
"I'm getting more discouraged with your posts every week. Too much fear and negativity."
There's a quick fix for that--unsubscribe and bliss out.

We do not have to hit bottom to start our recovery. We just need an intelligent leader with an intelligent team, like Russia has with Putin et al.
Putin was selected after nearly a decade of extreme hardship, exploitation, and dysfunction. It was this interregnum of desperation that created the conditions for his elevation into the presidency. Take a look at this information:
Recognizing a Psychotic Break: 16 Warning Signs
https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2017/05/recognizing-a-psychotic-break-16-warning-signs#1
A common cause of Psychosis is intense stress. That alone can cause or exacerbate physical and mental problems and illnesses.
And getting the booster and flu shot are not a good sign..

Are they trying to kill him?
Probably…
I would add arrogance to Mark’s list, but I guess dumbass fills that.
Edward Dowd @DowdEdward

Two possibilities:
1) Trump didn’t get a real Covid booster.
2) He is a dumbass.
Bad idea.
I hope I'm the only one of Mark's readers who scored 17 out of 16 on this one! :)
You're a stitch, Steghorn!

One unique thing about Unz bespoke website is LOL button.
In its absence:

PS. Wouldn't call this POTUS psychotic.
It is, however, suspicious that DJT was chosen precisely because he was older and susceptible to being pushed into such incoherence.
Molly Ball wrote forthrightly about the campaign to select & elect Biden to "save the 2020 election." https://time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/
When will we learn about the selection of Trump, and who engineered it?
Doesn't that remind you somewhat of another very recent POTUS?
Perhaps when we learn about Obama's true post-high school schooling record, and who selected and groomed him?
Trump's backers are much more obvious: Big Zion and the Tech Lords.
Tiresome free zone. This was about the umpteenth time of your sniping at me.
