MULTIPLE UPDATES: Ratcliffe Releases Docs Showing The Russia Hoax Was Approved By Hillary--And Was A Known Hoax
We recently saw the letter from DNI John Ratcliffe to Lindsey Graham in which Ratcliffe described handwritten notes of John Brennan. Those notes memorialized Brennan meeting personally with Obama, Susan Rice, James Clapper, and Denis McDonough and informing them that it appeared that "the Russians" were aware that Hillary Clinton was ginning up a Russia Hoax operation against Donald Trump to distract attention from her email scandal. Today the original notes were released, along with a CIA memo to disgraced former FBI Director James Comey--with attention to Peter Strzok. The CIA memo documents the CIA's referral of the matter described in Brennan's notes to the FBI--something that Comey denied all knowledge of in his recent testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Here are Brennan's notes, which are partially redacted. Note that one of the redactions appears to provide the identities of persons--presumably Russians?--involved in a discussion of Hillary's plans to smear Trump:
Here's a transcript of the notes, provided by Sean Davis at The Federalist (DNI Declassifies Handwritten Notes From John Brennan, 2016 CIA Referral On Clinton Campaign’s Collusion Operation ):
“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activites from [REDACTED]. Cite alleged approval by Hillary Clinton–on 26 July–of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to villify [sic] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services.”
Two things:
First, Brennan refers to "stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services." The tone of that passage clearly suggests that the redacted persons--and Brennan--understood that the "stirred up scandal" is a hoax. Note, too, that the purpose of "stirring up a scandal" isn't to make the truth known to the American people but rather to "vilify Donald Trump." Again, the clear implication is that this is a hoax--a political dirty trick.
Second, Paul Sperry says this about the unnamed "foreign policy adviser" to Hillary:
DEVELOPING: The "foreign policy adviser" who allegedly proposed "vilify[ing] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services" was Jake Sullivan, now a top Biden aide. Hillary OK'd his proposal on July 26, 2016--days before FBI opened probe
Now here's the CIA referral memo to the FBI:
The memo purports to present positive results of the "Fusion Cell" studying Russian interference in the election--the "Fusion Cell" being an interagency task force, basically the FBI and CIA. Strzok, of course, would have been part of that "Fusion Cell." While the memo to Comey is in more bureaucratic language than Brennan's notes, it once again presents Hillary's scheme as designed, not to inform the American people, but to distract the American people from her own criminal activity (operating her private email server for official government business). Tantalizingly, the entire sub-paragraph (b) is redacted.
The release of these documents is a nuclear strike on the entire Russia Hoax--the Deep State directors of the Intel Community agencies (FBI, CIA, DNI), the Congressional and Senatorial enablers, and perhaps above all, the MSM.
And one presumes there will be more revelations coming.
UPDATE 1: Brooke Singman at Fox has a very thorough account . She believes that the JC in the notes is not James Clapper but James Comey. I prefer Clapper. If it were Comey you'd expect the memo to contain some reference to a previous discussion at which Comey was present.
Singman also quotes a source who makes the very pertinent observation that the information that Brennan was briefing Obama on was clearly NOT "Russian disinformation":
"This is not Russian disinformation. Even Brennan knew, or he wouldn't be briefing the president of the United States on it," the source said. "There is a high threshold to orally brief the president of the United States and he clearly felt this met that threshold."
It's refreshing to get beyond the Russian disinformation narrative. We're talking Prog disinformation.
Also, Brennan's claim to be gaining insight into "Russian activities" is rather ironic:
“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED],”
Might the source of the supposed insight--[REDACTED]--by the UK's GCHQ, whose head, Robert Hannigan, who visited Brennan personally in Washington :
Instead both US and UK intelligence sources acknowledge that GCHQ played an early, prominent role in kickstarting the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation, which began in late July 2016.
...
According to one account, GCHQ’s then head, Robert Hannigan, passed material in summer 2016 to the CIA chief, John Brennan. The matter was deemed so sensitive it was handled at “director level”. After an initially slow start, Brennan used GCHQ information and intelligence from other partners to launch a major inter-agency investigation.
The reference here appears to be to the startup of the "Fusion Cell", but it would make sense to suppose that Hannigan continued to feed material to Brennan.
The irony, however, is that the insight seems not to be into Russian activity at all. Rather, the insight is into HILLARY's activity.
Next debate could be very interesting.
UPDATE 2: I just noticed this at SCRIBD. The CIA memo was uploaded to SCRIBD by The Federalist. The full description reads:
On September 7, 2016,the CIA formerly requested that the FBI investigate ongoing Russian knowledge of the Clinton campaign's plan to accuse Trump of Russian collusion to distract from Clinton's private e-mail scandal.
Now, you will scan that document--Formal CIA Referral To FBI To Investigate Clinton Campaign--in vain looking for a date on the CIA memo. That's because it's been redacted. Someone slipped up here. The clue to the fact that this memo was written after the Crossfire Hurricane opening (July 31, 2016) is that "Crossfire Hurricane" is in the "Subject" line. So I take it that this memo was written about a month after the Oval Office conference.
Doubly odd is that the CIA is requesting that the FBI investigate how the Russians found out about Hillary's shenanigans. I guess that's fine, but shouldn't the FBI have been directed by Obama to brief Hillary personally that he was on to what she was doing and that she had better knock it off because she was screwing around with sensitive national security matters? Am I the only one who finds it outrageous that Obama went along with Hillary's hoax? Regardless of the possible damage to relations with a significant nuclear power?
We really are deep into banana republic territory here. And the fourth estate--the MSM--could care less about our constitutional order or the danger that the Deep State represents to that order and to our freedoms as Americans.
Am I sounding a bit corny? But this is where we are. And the guy who planned this for Hillary is now a honcho adviser to Biden--whether Biden knows it or not.
