Politics: Sinema's Turn Now
And Trends
We’re used to reading about what a thorn in the side Joe Manchin is for the Progs and their agenda. Kyrsten Sinema is a bit of an afterthought usually. However, now with the Zhou regime’s biggest plans crashing and burning Sinema is taking center stage because she’s vowing to uphold the filibuster. That translates very directly to this:

While Biden on Wednesday was forced to shelve his massive tax and spend package until next year because of Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) opposition, Biden immediately pivoted to enact his second priority of altering election integrity laws, such as doing away with popular voter ID constraints.
“If we can get the congressional voting rights done, we should do it. … There’s nothing domestically more important than voting rights,” Biden said.
But Sinema singlehandedly burst Biden’s desperate attempt to weaken election integrity laws Wednesday evening by stating she will protect the 60-vote filibuster threshold. Fifty Senate votes are needed to trash the filibuster. If the filibuster is terminated, a simple majority vote could be held to destroy election law.

Arizona’s two Dem senators are in a difficult electoral position because the election shenanigans that delivered AZ’s electoral votes to Zhou very likely put them in office, as well. They don’t dare cross the voters now that that’s all out in the open. As Steve Bannon might put it, Sinema is helping to strangle the Zhou regime in the cradle.
Trends. It’s not just Hispanics. The latest polling spells disaster for Dems in 2022, and helps explain the steady pace of resignations in Congress:

And here’s a somewhat more impressionistic trend. Red State has an article about why the FBI pulled James O’Keefe from his apartment in handcuffs and underwear: The Ashley Biden Diary Is Real -- but What the FBI Is Investigating Will Blow Your Mind. The trend here is what the FBI chooses to investigate. After all, the FBI does have its own lawyers (who seem to be immune from discipline for conduct that would get most lawyers disbarred). They could push back against the highly politicized DoJ, but they’re not going to—for the time being.
Here’s what the NYT says is being investigated, as quoted at the link:
Federal prosecutors and F.B.I. agents are investigating whether there was a criminal conspiracy among a handful of individuals to steal and publish the [Ashley Biden] diary. …

The investigation has focused new attention on how Mr. Trump or his allies sought to use the troubles of Mr. Biden’s two surviving children to undercut him.
Really? Notice that they’re not even sure a crime was even committed, but they want to turn this into a conspiracy witchhunt. Notice also that the alternative “or” kinda gives the game away. There’s no actual target, because there’s no actual crime—really, just a theory. Kinda like a narrative, like Russia, like Ukraine, like J6 ‘insurrection’, like so much else. Maybe like Jim Jordan texts.
Red State astutely notes:
It is not a crime to use the “two surviving children” of Joe Biden to undercut him during a presidential race. It is also not a crime to legally buy a diary and then expose its existence. Yet, the FBI has chosen to go after James O’Keefe and others anyway. In my opinion, that’s to protect Joe Biden going forward and to scare others into backing off as the diary could contain many damaging revelations about the president.
This kinda stuff, following on the Hunter Biden kinda stuff, does make one wonder—Is it really true that smoke is an indicator of fire?
No word yet on what those globe jaunting FBI agents were investigating. Could that have all been a misunderstanding and they were actually interviewing Hunter’s contacts?
The fact is that the DC Establishment could pull the plug on Zhou any time they want—the means are there, ready to use, and the motive is clear—Zhou is a clear and present danger to the entire Dem party. The problem is, they need an exit strategy. That’s the tricky part. Once an exit strategy comes up the FBI can turn on a dime.
O'Keefe claimed something to the effect that there was nothing politically relevant--perhaps very personal issues which might look bad for the President as a person, but to O'Keefe's credit, he refused to run with that.
Sinema was a much better candidate and ran a better campaign than the eGOP that was as exciting as drying paint.
