Politics By Other Means
It’s been some time since the Left abandoned politics by the usual means—debate, persuasion, safe and secure voting. That has all been replaced by propaganda leveraged by control of virtually all media outlets, leveraging of the justice system to provide unequal outcomes for disfavored persons over favored persons, leveraging of the levers of government control and coercion—the IRS, federal and local law enforcement, NSA and the awesome possibilities of the surveillance and national security state, character assassination without basis. Increasingly the use of outright violence is condoned and even promoted. The shooting of Steve Scalise and attempted shooting of others, the Leftist rioting of Antifa and BLM—tolerated and promoted by the Left in city after city across the country, threats by Schumer against two named Supreme Court justices—”you won’t know what hit you!”
The other night much of that was on display on the MSM, with the MSM providing a propaganda platform for the Left to attack its declared enemies—no less than half the country—with the bogus claim of a J6 “insurrection”. To absolutely no rational person’s surprise, the propaganda exercise fell flat on its face, with ratings at approximately half the normal level. Where does this leave the Left? This seems to be their fallback defense against pushback for all the disasters they’re inflicting on normal people who want a normal country. Do they have any other issue?
Increasingly, it appears that the Left’s only remaining issue—now that J6 is seen to be a massive fail—is … assassination of SCOTUS justices. In the wake of the assassination attempt against Justice Brett, we heard from supposedly responsible figures on Left … essentially nothing. Well, except that Zhou and others doubled down on attacking the SCOTUS. And have blocked attempts to enforce protection for the justices.
To all appearances the Dem party’s platform includes assassination of Supreme Court justices—oh, and their children:
You have to laugh, a bit, at the unhinged character of these people, as illustrated by the very determinedly moderate Turley:
During the recent protests, pro-choice protesters engaged in sexist and offensive verbal attacks on Barrett and her family. One protester dressed as a Handmaid declared “It’s also possible that the fact that she’s an adoptive mother is influencing her inability to see what it’s like to carry a pregnancy to term.” Justice Barrett has seven children and only two are adopted.
Far from backing off from the abyss of political violence, the Left make no effort to hide their evil:

I am not going to mince words. Democrats want to kill justices and replace them with loony lefties like Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Excerpt, but it’s all worth reading. Hinderaker, importantly, focuses on the funding angle. You can bet on it—the violence is astroturfed, it isn’t grass roots. And don’t forget, it now extends to Justice Amy’s children:
What I would like to know is, who funds “Ruth Sent Us”? I hazard a wild guess that it is not some fringe group, but rather mainstream Democratic Party donors like, say, George Soros. I think the campaign to expose conservative Supreme Court justices and their families to the risk of assassination is not “extremist,” but rather has been orchestrated by the leaders of the Democratic Party–Joe Biden’s handlers, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and so on. And I think they hope that one or more assassins will succeed so that Biden’s handlers will be able to nominate one or more justices.
Does this speculation seem beyond the pale? Once, I would have thought so. But, apart from open advocacy of assassination by Democrats as in the tweet above, Democratic leaders haven’t done anything to rebut it.
And I can’t think of an alternative explanation of why Merrick Garland and other Democratic Party authorities have failed to enforce laws against demonstrating outside judges’ homes. I can’t think of another explanation of why leaders of the Democratic Party can’t bestir themselves to condemn an assassination attempt. I can’t think of another explanation for why the Washington Post buried news of the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh deep in their “local news” section.
Nor can I think of another explanation of why leaders of the Democratic Party haven’t called off “Ruth Sent Us” in the wake of the Kavanaugh assassination attempt. Could they do so? I am pretty sure they could. But let’s find out! Who, exactly, is financing “Ruth Sent Us”? How do those people (or maybe just one person) relate to assassination-inciter Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Party generally?
Having read that, you may want to go back and read/watch/listen to Tucker’s comments, and the quotes from the Left that—not to put to fine a point on it—claim that anyone not with them is a “clear and present danger”.
And where is the outrage on the congressional Republican side? I don’t see much there either.
It’s pretty obvious at this point that the political left has departed the reservation and is making no attempt to hide what we’ve all known for sometime, they hate our guts and wish we were dead!
Apparently that means women and children are high on their list too.
Despicable, contemptible, loathsome and vile are the adjectives that come to mind.
This is not going to end well.
I’m really concerned that the left has gone so far beyond what is normally considered acceptable, that come November, declaring an unfavorable election outcome null and void is not beyond a possibility.
