Remarkable.
JUST IN:
Donald Trump at a press conference: "I encouraged Netanyahu at our meeting at Mar-a-Lago to end it (with the war in Gaza) and end it quickly. I told him - get your victory, but the killing must end."
So, what? One big, fast orgy of killing? And “encouraged”. Not ordered. Who’s in charge?
NEW:
Trump says he’s disappointed that the Israel and Jewish lobby isn’t as powerful now as it was 15 years ago: "15 years ago, if you said anything bad about Israel or the Jewish people, you were finished as a politician — the most powerful lobby in this country by far, was Israel and Jewish people." What a self-deprecation...

TRUMP: "When I’m president, we will DEPORT the foreign jihad sympathizers and Hamas supporters. If you hate America, if you want to eliminate Israel, then we don’t want you in our country."

Simple solution to a rather complicated set of problems. Let’s start with definitions. Who does the defining? Who will identify the people to be deported? What if those people happen to be American citizens? Maybe even Americans who can trace their families in America back for generations?
BREAKING:
Donald Trump threatened US Universities: "Colleges will end the anti-Semitic propaganda, or they will lose their accreditation and every single last penny of federal support"
And who defines what again?
BREAKING:
Israel expects France and Britain to go to war with Iran Israel's foreign minister told his British and French counterparts that if Iran attacks, they expect the coalition to join Israel not only in defense but also in attacking significant targets in Iran. I personally think this is more of an order rather than expectation.
Or else?
Donald Trump: "Israel looks ‘tiny’ on the map compared to other countries in the Middle East. Is there a way to get more? It’s so tiny." So practically he stated that Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt who are supporters of Israel, are about to lose part of their territory. What an irony... Literally no one respects their leaders anymore.

American politics. What a degrading spectacle.
Seeing this after reading a few recent pieces from Alastair Crooke is jarring. Insane regime headed by Netanyahu really driving this bus off a clifff.... https://www.eurasiareview.com/14082024-an-intricate-fabric-of-bad-actors-working-hand-in-hand-so-is-war-inevitable-oped/
"Netanyahu went to Washington to lay out the case for all-out war on Iran - a moral war of civilisation versus the Barbarians, he said. He was applauded for his stance. He returned to Israel and immediately provoked Hizbullah, Iran and Hamas in a way that dishonoured and humiliated both - knowing well that it would draw a riposte that would most likely lead to wider war.
Clearly Netanyahu, backed by a plurality of Israelis, wants an Armageddon (with full U.S. support, of course). He has the U.S., he thinks, exactly where he wants it. Netanyahu has only to escalate in one way or another - and Washington, he calculates (rightly or wrongly), will be compelled to follow."
