Not News, But A Reminder
Kudos to Tucker Carlson for going "there" again. I can't embed the Tucker video, but you can find the video and also a decentish transcript here .
It's not news that deaths associated with Covid vaxxes are far higher than any other recent vaccine--"recent" meaning: far higher than all other vax related deaths of any sort taken together for the past 15 years.
Here's some more perspective, which Tucker provides:
... in 1976, the U.S. government vaccinated 45 million people with a vaccine for the swine flu. Fifty-three people reportedly died after getting that shot. The U.S. government immediately halted the vaccination program. Authorities decided it was too risky, it wasn’t worth it.
More perspective. Every year something in the vicinity of 160 million Americans get the flu vax--despite its typically extremely low effectiveness. At any rate here are the numbers of deaths associated with the flu vaccine in recent years:
2017: 85
2018: 119
2019: 203
What are the comparable Covid numbers--the government numbers?
Between late December of 2020, and last month, a total of 3,362 people apparently died after getting the COVID vaccines in the United States.
It's important to note that these numbers come from the government's Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System — VAERS — which is managed by the CDC and the FDA. Tucker points out that the VAERS system--which is voluntary--has been widely criticized for years. Some critics have claimed that as few as 1% of adverse cases are actually reported. The result is that it's entirely possible, even likely, that the number of Covid related vax deaths is actually higher, even significantly higher than the VAERS number. The fact of the matter is that we're still in the early days when it comes to assessing risk.
Another interesting aspect of the VAERS data is that, among non-fatal adverse effects that were actually reported, there were at least 8,000 hospitalizations . Not calls to a nurse in a doctor's office, not a visit to the doctor--hospitalizations . And note that "at least." The number might well be higher, as commenter Mike Sylwester's anecdotal evidence suggests.
Think of it this way. We know for a fact that the government did everything in its power to inflate reported deaths from Covid the disease. Why would anyone expect the government NOT to do what it can--which is quite a lot--to deflate vax related deaths and injuries? Ask yourselves: Where do the incentives lie? For the government, and for the individual healthcare professional--are they really going to go to war with the government, insisting on their view of what caused a death or injury? We know how things work in America now.
By the way, one of the interesting aspects of Tucker's presentation is his showing videos of really over the top attempts to shame vax hesitant persons. I mean, seriously over the top--but officially sponsored to one degree or another.
