Back in the US, there are positive signs that people are getting woke to the fact that the Covid Regime is out of touch with reality—as medicine. As political cult, there’s still life in it—although there are increasing signs that it’s on government assisted life support against the wishes of the subject population.
One sign is the increasingly outspoken vax resistance among nurses. There was a news item last week reporting that in Cincinnati at least a third of nurses responded to a survey and stated that they would quit or be fire rather than participate in the gene therapy experiment if it were mandated. I’m sure readers have seen similar survey results. Bear in mind, those numbers reflect the percentage that says they’ll quit—not the percentage that are actually and currently unvaxxed, which is probably higher.
Another news item from today—two marines have filed suit on behalf of all service members against the experimental gene therapy. You can read the full account at Newsweek:
Two Service Members Sue Feds Over Military COVID Vaccine Requirements
The key to this development is this:
On August 30, both Robert and Mulvihill asked U.S. District Court Judge Raymond Moore for a temporary restraining order regarding the vaccinations for military members who have already been affected by COVID-19 along with other legal measures surrounding the vaccine.
In other words, the issue raised revolves around “natural immunity” to Covid developed through past infection. There have been a whole raft of recent studies—especially one out of Israel—demonstrating that natural immunity is more effective, broad based, and preferable to the narrow resistance acquired through the current gene therapies being pushed by governments. A professor at George Mason, Todd Zywicki, recently won a law suit in which he made that same argument—although I believe the actual decision hinged on his medical condition. Nevertheless, there is reason for optimism that the federal courts will now be willing to consider the reasonableness of mandates based on the emerging science that confirms the previous scientific consensus in favor of natural immunity. The likelihood is that a huge swath of service members are in that group: previously affected by Covid.
Along the same lines, Karl Denninger has an immensely long post today that dives into the issue, drawing especially on developments in Chicago that I’ve been reading about:
KD discusses both hospitals and schools—institutions that are at the epicenter of the Covid Regime. A brief excerpt that argues that the mandates are already backfiring:
It is slowly dawning on all the different entities, including health care, that if they actually try to enforce jab mandates they're going to be screwed. Some of this is very visible already if you know where to look. Hospitals report "staffed and available" ICU (and regular) beds. For a bed to be usable legally-mandated staffing levels must be present. Beds don't "disappear" in a hospital; you don't make the building larger or smaller, do you?
Nope -- it's all about staff levels.
Well?
There has already been a contraction -- and the mandates aren't, for the most part, in effect yet. In a few places they've fired people. In others they're threatening to. The problem, beyond being sued and losing, is that they can't actually make good on the threats without immediately detonating any chance of being able to help the poor bastard who has a heart attack a week later -- and people are already leaving over these demands.
Witness what just happened in Chicago. Lightfoot mandated jabs for everyone in the schools; a large number of bus drivers quit. Now what? No school bus for your kids, that's what! The city is claiming Uber and Lyft will be provided; uh huh, good luck there because, guess what -- neither mandates their drivers be jabbed!
The upshot is that we’re hearing about extensions of the mandates. That may be the first step toward quietly dropping them or not enforcing them.
UPDATE: A few more signs that the wheels are coming off—from different directions:
On Friday, the New York Times reported that the heads of both the CDC and FDA are now urging the White House to walk back its booster recommendation.
Their warnings echo the panel of independent advisors to the CDC, who met earlier this week and raised concerns about rolling out boosters before we have the data for it - risking "over-vaccination."
The MSM still shapes the narrative for the power elite. The fact that stuff like this is appearing in places like the NYT, the fact that CDC and FDA are pushing back against the politicians and ideologues—it matters.
I don't think it should necessarily surprise anyone that the CDC is starting to stake a position separate from the "White House". CO VID PANDEMIC tm has always been a political op. There was always going to be a point where the pseudo-scientific, pseudo-medical justifications for the totalitarian policies would no longer be accepted by the scientific and medical community. We can be sure that the criminal cabal has a move ready for when that moment arrives. My guess (which is as good as yours) is that there will be some kind of throwing of all the corrupted public health officials under the bus in some kind of significant scandal (narrative thereof) probably involving Fauci, whereby the political figures and uniparty swamp actors can join everyone else in decrying the perfidy. Maybe the Current Occupantish and his wife and his Svengali will be also tossed under, maybe not, but we already know who will be left standing, Blackrock and the Boys. Interesting how they will protect the Pharmaceutical Companies CEOs / boards or not.
