Luongo's Populist Rant
I'm not sure that "rant" is the proper term for Tom Luongo's piece that was republished at Zerohedge yesterday. It could be regarded as a sort of prediction cum warning of what's to come. You may or may not agree with all his ideas here, but it is food for thought.
For example, canceled elections? I would never go out on a limb in a prediction sense in that regard, but if there's one thing the Trump era has taught us it's: Never say never. The overall background or theme to Luongo's piece is the idea of the Great Reset, driven by a Global Elite that's pretty much openly at war with any classes beneath them--but especially the Middle Classes that are the backbone of democratic governance as we thing we've known it. It's the Neo-gnostic managerial elite of "experts" against the rest of us.
Read these excerpts and see what you think. I follow it with a much shorter excerpt from a normally extremely sober legal commenter, by no means a bomb thrower, Jonathan Turley. Turley's article is about the legal issues behind coerced vaccination. You may wish to read the whole article, but I'll only be quoting his concluding paragraphs which show a Turley who is becoming alarmed at what he sees around him in America.
So, first Luongo. He begins with reference to "panic". He referring to the whole Covid vaccine situation but to larger events as well:
Luongo: We Have Entered The Eye Of Davos' Storm
...
The panic many will feel will be real but the question is who is actually panicking?
Is it the “dirty spreaders” and “anti-science” losers who refuse to take an experimental gene therapy or the ones who ordered all of this insanity in the first place for their own personal and political gain?
At every turn the Biden Administration lost major political battles in the past week. There is no denying that. That is an unqualified good thing. It ensures the anger and frustration over the direction of the country post-Trump will be unstoppable come the mid-term elections despite even the expected voter fraud next fall.
We can count on that just like we could count on it in 2020. But the bigger question I have now is whether or not we’ll actually have those elections if it looks like we’ll have a landslide on the populist side of the political ledger?
What the little people want is anathema to those that congregate every year at Davos, Switzerland to plot out their dystopian future plans for humanity.
So, the odds rise everyday that they will suspend elections in Germany or France as a trial run for next fall’s mid-terms. Book this prediction and double down on it regularly, you might make more on it than in the coming crypto bull market, but only just barely.
...
The ride from here will only get worse and our only recourse is to look to shoring up our local communities rather than hope for any saviors at the ballot box.
Shore up local communities? How does Luongo propose that that be done when we seem to have de facto open borders now?
The rules have changed.
Democracy has been outlawed and the courts neutralized . The push for total control over your movement, your thoughts and your basic right to make your way in the world is no longer protected by law.
Extreme as that may sound to traditional sensibilities, it's hard to deny 1) that our constitutional processes have been transformed and 2) the SCOTUS majority is divided and walking on egg shells, fearing what's coming and fearing offending their overlords. The conservative justices appear to be very much aware of the globalist dynamics of events.
In fact, the law is openly hostile to your very existence. Just ask Australians and Canadians.
We’ve always known that public health was the cheat code to tyranny. Now we’re seeing it weaponized in a way that isn’t just creepy, it’s chilling in its inhumanity.
But the kids still think Communists care about them.
There is an urgency to this now that wasn’t there before. In the days after neutralizing Trump they backed off thinking there was more time , that there was more than a full year to stepwise up the pressure on us.
But it turned out that COVID-19 simply wasn’t deadly enough and therapeutics for it strong enough to unmask the agenda behind the operation.
...
My bet is that whatever the Fed says at Jackson Hole will tell us just where the Fed stands in all of this and that will tell us whether or not we have any friends at all in high places.
The storm created by Davos has made landfall. The next two months will tell us just who is and who is not still on their payroll or is compromised by them. To me the key is the Fed. We’ll find out soon enough if Wall St. really isn’t down with the Commintern.
One sign of hope, which Luongo does note, is that the Republicans--who must also be aware of the bigger picture of the attempt at a Great, Global Reset--appear relatively undaunted. In the face of this onslaught:
When you stop to think this through in normal political calculus, how can Biden and Pelosi spin their failures as anything like victories now? The truth is plain to everyone. They lied, cheated, stole and by all rational accounts staged a coup on January 6th.
They have everything they ever wanted… all the power of the Legislative and Executive branches while simultaneously cowing the Judicial branch into irrelevance …
Well, not really all the power, or there wouldn't have been that string of setbacks.
Pelosi bluffed hard on the spending and infrastructure bills but forgot that having a 50-50 split in the senate and a united Republican front who knows they are in the mid-term driver’s seat meant that any single Senator with a nominal “D” after their names could take the ‘awesome power of the speaker’s gavel’ and shove it right up her ***.
So Luongo admits that the "normal political calculus" may hold something different in store for the future. The shape of what that could be? Hard to tell.
Now, Turley, who sees flashing danger signals ahead for our constitutional order:
Say goodbye to persuasion: Vaccine mandates may be coming — but will they be legal?
...
The federal government is on shaky ground in mandating hood behavior or inactivity. In 2012 in NFIB v. Sebelius , Chief Justice John Roberts declared that “Construing the Commerce Clause to permit Congress to regulate individuals precisely because they are doing nothing would open a new and potentially vast domain to congressional authority.”
Of course, 2012 seems like such a long time ago ...
The greatest danger with the coercion model is that it will further deepen our divisions and turn vaccine resistance into a type of patriotic resistance for some people. Recently, a shocking poll found that almost 50 percent of Republicans believe “patriotic Americans [might] have to take the law into their own hands.” The poll shows how many Americans are increasingly alienated from the government, the media and the established order. Conversely, some commentators on the left have declared that the unvaccinated are terrorists using “biological warfare” against the nation.
Threatening to make the lives of the unvaccinated a “living hell,” or isolating them from society, likely will do little to increase the level of vaccination — but it will do much to increase the level of alienation in our society.
What would be another concrete step toward increasing alienation from the "established order"? Maybe something like this:
New FBI Initiative Will Put "Hate Crime" Quotas On Local Law Enforcement
The Department of Justice and the FBI have a message for local police departments: start charging more white people with hate crimes or invite an investigation.
Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta told an assembly of FBI agents yesterday that they are now tasked with hounding police departments in their district if they do not register any "hate crimes."
Gupta and FBI Deputy Assistant Director of the Criminal Investigative Division Jay Greenberg have declared "hate crimes" by "racially motivated violent extremists" (a euphemism generally reserved for right-wing white men) to be a national threat priority -- a rare designation.
According to Greenberg, the FBI will be increasingly specialized in pursuing "hate crimes" through increased training in the matter, an aggressive media campaign designed to recruit victims in "underrepresented and targeted populations," and putting federal pressure on local law enforcement to charge and report hate crimes when they otherwise wouldn't.
The division fomented by BLM/Antifa, now followed by widening outrage over CRT in the schools, seems not to have lessened the determination of the Left. With the Legislative Branch deadlocked, will the courts step in? Or will they try to wait it out until 2022?
