Is The Plan Working?
Via Don Surber this morning, as reported by Bloomsberg:
"The number of people who received retirement benefits from the Social Security Administration rose 900,000 to 46.4 million in March, the smallest year-over-year gain since April 2009.
"While the Office of the Chief Actuary at the government agency said it is still too early to assess the impact from Covid-19, the year-over-year change appears to reflect excess deaths. About 447,000 people who died from the virus were 65 or older, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or about 80% of total deaths."
I assume that this also would reflect people drawing on all sorts of pensions, government as well as private. For example, I don't draw on SS, just my Civil Service annuity. There'd be plenty more who are older than I am on CS who might number among those excess deaths. Lots of Vets, as well. Herd immunity morphs into culling the herd? That's the Gates plan, or am I missing something?
And from Fox we learn:
The U.S. birth rate fell 4% last year, the largest single-year decrease in nearly 50 years, according to a government report being released Wednesday.
...
The pandemic no doubt contributed to last year's big decline, experts say. Anxiety about COVID-19 and its impact on the economy likely caused many couples to think that having a baby right then was a bad idea.
By the way, Fox's report is quite thorough. It goes into lots of stats, examining it all from various angles.
And with follow up vaxxing still to come ...
