Via the Daily Mail:
Child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein spent his final days in prison living in fear of the MS-13 gang, unable to sleep due to his cellmate's incessant chattering and battling constipation.
More than 2,000 pages of Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) records recently obtained by The New York Times - just days before Epstein's alleged co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell is set to start trial - revealed Epstein had been deemed 'cooperative,' 'goal directed,' and 'psychologically stable' in the days before he took his own life.
Although he 'adamantly denied suicidality' after being placed on suicide watch for 31 hours after an apparent attempt to end his life, Epstein told officials he feared for his safety.
Medical experts placed him on psychological observation, issued constipation medicine and gave him novels to read.
…
In the month prior to his death Epstein 'continued to deny any suicidal ideation, intention or plan.'
'I have no interest in killing myself,' the disgraced financier told a prison psychologist, according to the BOP documents. He also said he was a 'coward' and did not like pain.
'I would not do that to myself,' he added.
In a suicide risk assessment dated July 24, 2019 state, Epstein again 'explicitly denied recent and current suicidal ideation, planning, and intent.'
He did, however, request to be relocated to a safer unit, citing that 'there were many MS-13 gang members on the initial unit'.
Epstein complained of poor sleep due to noise from his cellmate and the constant running toilet in his cell that left him 'agitated for hours' and '[sitting] in the corner [holding] his ears'.
He also expressed irritation with his inability to pass a bowel movement.
One way to be removed from the unit he was in to a safer one was to be put under psychological observation or on suicide watch. He apparently spent most of his days meeting with his attorneys, which would fit in with the psychologist’s view that he was “future oriented” and “goal directed.” He was also reported to exhibit a “sense of humor,” which would presumably be necessary to deal with his constipation—among other problems.
None of this fits the profile of someone so determined to kill himself that he did it, supposedly, by hanging himself on the floor.
Question: Who would want Epstein dead?
Answer: Many of the most powerful people in the world.
I'm often disinclined to believe in fake death conspiracies but in the life of Epstein, I'd say it's plausible.
He's a guy that would have had enough insurance against people who care to make that a reality. If he is really dead I would have expected to have seen a data dump of a dead man's insurance policy come to life.
Or the wild rumors of video entrapment were wholly over speculated, or he was a complete moron. I just can't see someone that operated on his level of impunity for so long being THAT wishy-washy or stupid. One thing is for certain, we'll never actually know.
The fear of being harmed or killed is NOT a motivation to harm or kill yourself, unless one is completely irrational.
