Briefly Noted: Putin Speaks Truth To The West; Go To Hospital, Catch Covid?

During his marathon annual year-end press conference Q&A, which this year lasted about four hours, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again vowed to defend Russian society against the intrusion of the corrupted values of the West, in particular blasting the "gender obscurantism" pushed by the United States and Europe.

"I am a proponent of the traditional approach that a woman is a woman and a man is a man," Putin laid out, which it goes without saying also reflects basic Biology 101 and humans' self-understanding for thousands upon thousands of years. He continued in the remarks on gender: "A mother is a mother, a father is a father. And I hope that our society has the internal moral protection dictated by the traditional religious denominations of the Russian Federation."

And then there’s also this, from the UK, which confirms what Karl Denninger has been preaching for lo! these many months:

On Monday, there were 6,650 Covid patients in hospitals in England, a slight increase, but that still only accounts for a paltry 5 per cent of all hospital beds. Overall hospital occupancy currently stands at 89 per cent, which would be considered pretty good for the NHS at this time of year, never mind during what London Mayor Sadiq Khan called a “major incident”. There is no sign at all of the NHS being “overwhelmed” which is the stick with which the scientists beat the Prime Minister to get him to approve yet more restrictions.

According to my reliable NHS England source, admissions with Covid have actually been declining for the past week, if you look at the seven-day-rolling average. The number of patients in hospital for other ailments who test positive for Covid – but are sneakily counted as “Covid admissions” – is rising slightly but most of the increase is seen among those who have been in hospital for more than eight days. So – brace yourselves – those poor sick people have been given Covid by the very hospital where they went to get better. Save the NHS, eh?

Astonishing fact. 70% of London’s so-called “COVID hospitalizations”are diagnosed several days after admission for other ailments. They are NOT COVID patients. A positive test 8 days after admission means the hospital basically gave the patient COVID.
