Praying that the mandate madness ends one way or another. My employer (a state university) just announced a Jan 18 deadline to get jabbed. I will not. I could request an exemption for “sincerely held” religious belief (presumably about the use fetal tissue). I find that option distasteful for a number of reasons. For one, what qualifies H.R. to judge the legitimacy of my religious beliefs? Besides, the fact that the jab is (a) ineffective and (b) dangerous is more than enough to warrant non-compliance. I will not eke out an exemption based on a technicality when the stakes are actually life or death, liberty or slavery. My wife and kids are (understandably) worried about the future, but presently my conscience is telling me that I have no choice.

I just finished reading a short book called "Simplyfing the Covid Puzzle: How Two Essential Vitamins Fortify the Immune System," and it's as good a read as you'll find on how and why both D3 and, critically, K2 are so essential not just to fighting off covid but to health overall.

Written by a pair of medical doctors, the kindle version is only 95 cents, and it can be read in a single setting. I had already bought a liquid D3-K2 combination supplement after hearing Dr. Richard Urso go on and on about the importance of the two vitamins together, and after reading this book, I know see why he's so adamant in his medical opinion.

Some personal experience in case anyone cares:

The D3-K2 combo I'm using is here: doublewoodsupplements.com/products/vitamin-d3-k2-liquid-drops (it's at Amazon, also).

It delivers 125mcg (5,000 IU) of D3 and 200mcg of K2 in two squeezes of the eyedropper (though you can meter less from the eyedropper if you want less), and since it's already dissolved in a tasteless oil, you can take it anytime, even on an empty stomach. Super easy. I like it so much, I'm going to go ahead and get the 3-pack delivered every three months, which brings the monthly cost down to about 14 bucks. Cheap health insurance, in my book.

I looked and looked for pills that would do the same thing, but I couldn't find any (except in Europe) that give both 5,000 IU of D3 AND 200mcg of K2 - they all offer only 100mcg of K2. You can of course take the two vitamins separately and then get any ratio you want - I just like the convenience of the combo. Lastly, the key to any K2 purchase is for it to be "all-trans" K2 as Mk7 - not "cis" K2 and not Mk4. The cis won't get absorbed and the Mk4 has a half-life of only a few hours. I also do a combo pill of 15mg zinc-1mg copper, 500mg of vitamin C, 250mg quercetin phytosome, a teaspoon of black seed oil and 500mg of fermented turmeric curcumin. And drink water throughout the day.

As far as over the counter covid prophylaxis plans go, that lineup of D-K-Zinc-Copper-quercetin-black seed oil-turmeric + lots of water is about as strong as it gets (unless you want to add in NAC and/or the twice-daily povidone-iodine nasal rinse + cetylpyridinium chloride gargle, which are things I'll save until I think I've actually been infected. If I were high-risk, I'd probably do them, but I'm not).
