Disturbing stories today suggest that the Neocon/Globalist coalition continues to recklessly escalate its war, well, it’s war for global hegemony. It’s not just Russia. China and, it sounds increasingly like, India must also be subjugated. Since that’s an impossibility with conventional arms that leads to stories like this one:
In Stunning Strategy Reversal, Pentagon Will No Longer Rule Out Use Of Nuclear Weapons Against Non-Nuclear Threat
Well, we’re finally there: stocks are officially trading off nuclear war headlines.
Moments ago, as part of his closely-watched speech, Vladimir Putin appeared to talk down the likelihood of a nuclear attack in Ukraine:
*PUTIN: NO POLITICAL, MILITARY REASON IN NUKE STRIKE IN UKRAINE
Which, however, is more than can be said about the US.
As Bloomberg just reported, the Pentagon’s new National Defense Strategy rejects limits on using nuclear weapons long championed by arms control advocates (and, in the not too distant past, by Joe Bide) citing burgeoning threats from Russia and China.
Putin has consistently referenced Russia’s publicly stated nuclear doctrine to support his contention that there’s no reason for use of nukes in Ukraine. It’s the West that continually yammers about nukes, in an apparent effort to raise hysteria to the level that a first strike on Russia could seem plausibly justified. A commenter on this story at FR pointed out the obvious:
This is what has happened due to the conventional forces being depleted, recruiting goals failing due to woke leadership and a brain addled CIC.
Your only option is use your big stick because you have no other viable options.
The reality is that the US escalated this conflict from the get go, even though Ukraine isn’t even a member of NATO. That’s a sure tell that for our Neocon/Globalist cabal this war is about Russia—not Ukraine. For example, our “intelligence sharing”—which is used to directly target Russian forces, without which some of the weaponry we’ve supplied would be largely useless—makes the US a combatant by most reasonable standards. That’s playing with fire, and pushing Russia to act:
Russia threatens to shoot down Western satellites for helping Ukraine
Note the propagandistic misrepresentation in the NYPost story:
Russia is considering shooting down commercial Western satellites as payback for aiding Ukraine in the war, which could put the US and Kyiv’s other allies on a collision course with Moscow.
Konstantin Vorontsov, deputy head of Russia’s delegation at a UN arms control panel, said the use of Western satellites to help Ukrainian forces on the battlefield was “an extremely dangerous trend.”
“Quasi-civilian infrastructure may be a legitimate target for a retaliatory strike,” he told the UN First Committee, adding that the West’s use of such satellites to support Ukraine was “provocative.”
“We are talking about the involvement of components of civilian space infrastructure, including commercial, by the United States and its allies in armed conflicts,” said Vorontsov.
No, Russia isn’t talking about “payback”. It’s talking about attacking infrastructure that is being used to directly attack its forces. It’s a proportionate, militarily justified response. Of course this US involvement in combat is highly provocative and constitutes and “extremely dangerous trend.” Where are our senators will this is going on? Why are no questions raised about our combatant status?
Meanwhile—and you probably won’t hear about it on our “news”—in Europe people are increasingly taking to the streets, as the WSJ does report over the escalating insanity. This is a healthy escalation:
Discontent Rises in Europe as Economic War With Russia Pushes Up Cost of Living
Governments fear protests against high energy prices could weaken public support for Ukraine
A wave of protests triggered by rocketing living costs and a looming recession is sweeping across Europe, testing the resolve of governments that have so far maintained unity in their costly economic war with Russia.
The public backlash against high prices for electricity and heating as temperatures begin to fall is also fueling tensions between European capitals over richer nations’ larger relief packages, which poorer neighbors say are distorting the market and compounding the crisis.
On Thursday, thousands of people took to the streets across France to demand higher wages. Striking teachers, railway and health workers staged marches in dozens of cities, including Paris, snarling traffic and disrupting public transport.
In Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany, tens of thousands have marched in recent weeks, demanding pay rises to offset inflation, more state support, government intervention in the energy market and, in some instances, an end to sanctions against Russia.
Goverments fear the people. That’s healthy. They should be held accountable and made to reveal who they answer to. What national interests are involved in the madness of war on Russia?
Unfortunately, the escalation isn’t happening just overseas. As we’ve come to expect, the FBI is in the thick of the war on We the People. CTH provides good coverage (via Project Veritas) of the Dem drive to criminalize speech with hopelessly vague strictures. Please note that this drive got a trial run during the Covid Regime, and now the Dems are siccing their political police on political opponents:
Here is what CTH quotes from Project veritas. Again, note how the “crimes” are essentially all in the eyes of the beholder—the FBI—and are hopelessly vague. “Mistaken” or “unintentional” speech that is characterized as “misinformation” somehow becomes a crime? Yes, such charges could be thrown out by the courts, but we’ve seen how the J6 witchhunt has operated. You can’t expect courts to do the heavy lifting to protect our rights—why would they start now?—and so the war escalates:
[WASHINGTON, D.C. – Oct. 27, 2022] Project Veritas published a newly leaked document today provided by an FBI whistleblower.
The document details how the Bureau will tackle what they consider to be “election crimes.”
It lists “misinformation” as a potential election crime, describing it as “false or misleading information spread mistakenly or unintentionally.”
The document also lists “disinformation” as a potential election crime, describing it as “false or inaccurate information intended to mislead others.”
It continues, “Disinformation campaigns on social media are used to deliberately confuse, trick, or upset the public.”
These categories could raise questions about who gets to determine what is “misinformation” and/or “disinformation.” (read more)
Does anyone remember that goofy chick in 'Mars Attacks' who releases doves when the Martians invade and destroy the world?
Are we at that point yet?
Starting a war as if we could produce weapons like its World War Two all over again. These loons are nut jobs.
