Now, on to something a bit on the serious side. Tucker Carlson claims that the war on Russia is payback—in the minds of Russia Hoax true believers like Adam Schiff—for Putin stealing the 2016 election from Hillary.

I tend to disagree. I don’t think there are any real Russia Hoax true believers among elected official—liars, cynical hoaxers, sure. Believers? I just can’t buy that.

Nevertheless, from the GOP’s gunshy reaction to Russia Hoaxing it seems clear that Soft-on-Russia remains the third rail of US politics. The Clintons seized this mantle after the Cold War—you could see it coming with the cynical use of the “Chicken Kiev” speech. I have no doubt that this war is motivated by true Neocon geostrategery, but is there also a domestic political angle that play into J6, abortion politics, and so forth? Never say never:
