We’re all familiar with businesses now going out of business for lack of employees--even though there is no lack of qualified people who lack jobs and who theoretically should be looking for work. I’ve heard from one doctor who said hiring--or trying to hire--office staff is a nightmare. They set up a job interview, but then the applicant doesn’t bother turning up.
Here are three items today that put it all in some perspective.
First, Karl Denninger, who points out that formerly employed people have been given 18 months to come up with “word arounds” (pun intended) to employment. Guess what? They’ve come up with those “work arounds”:

Yesterday I saw two things occur that point out, in stark relief, why Biden and his pals are doomed with their jab mandate.
The first was while he was shopping at Lowes, and saw how understaffed the store was. KD points out the obvious:
A corporate mandate to "wear a mask" on the job is thus stupid and abusive; ... Is management shocked that all the part-timers who ran the checkstands stuck up the middle finger when they pulled this crap?
But now here comes a jab mandate! Well, same deal except now it's not a diaper on your face it's the literal threat of potential death or serious disability which the company, of course, is not liable for nor is anyone else. All for a starting wage, the sign said on the door ("Help Wanted") beginning at $12/hour.
Uh huh. Good luck.
What was the second thing he saw?
The second was an ambulance -- doors open, lights on, dudes obviously inside that I saw while waiting for a traffic light. Where was it? Right outside a chain pharmacy with a nice big "get your Covid vaccine here!" sign. That was a business call folks, and hundreds of people saw it while at or passing through that intersection. Nothing screams "SAFE!" like someone on a gurney.

There are already places where WalMarts are being forced to close to restock shelves as they're so short of people and can't hire more, having put in place employee mandates which enough prospective and current employees are responding to with "**** that!" that the only option remaining to them is to lock the doors and repurpose the few people they do have.
Funny he should mention WalMart, because they’re currently going head to head with Amazon--another place that’s famous for its abusive workplace practices and is desperately short of employees:

“We are being pressured to vaccinate, and we see the large number of Vaccine complications in our ICU’s and ER’s that are going unreported. Doctors are afraid to report all of these vaccine complications even though we are clearly seeing them,” said Dr. Mollie James, an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Doctor in New York City.
“The serious risks of complications are coming from those with natural immunity who then receive the vaccine or boosters, and frontline doctors and nurses have natural immunity after a year of fighting COVID and being exposed. These vaccine complication risks coming from an unwise mandate are serious, and include increased risks of stroke, heart attack, and death.”

“I would estimate 30% of the ICU patients in NYC are from vaccine complications but nobody wants to talk about that. They get coded as something else or they will ignore the fact an otherwise healthy person had a heart attack or stroke within 48 hours of receiving the vaccine,” Dr. James said. “I have seen vaccine complications in the general public, and even among healthcare providers. This is a serious problem and it’s only getting worse, and these mandates will make it much worse, but we won’t have the data to deal with it because of politics.”

It’s a scary time to be a healthcare professional, and the public needs to know how bad things are getting. Your healthcare is being guided by political demands, not by what will lead to the best individual healthcare outcomes,” Dr. James said.

“These mandates are not scientific, they are not ethical, and they are not needed. We need Doctors to direct these policies to overcome COVID, not lying politicians like Biden who are going to make this crisis much worse.”
Remember we were talking about the change in OSHA reporting requirements for vaccine injuries due to employment mandates? The change being: Don’t report those. That’s what Dr. James is talking about: “We won’t have the data to deal with it because of politics.”
Could someone explain what actually legitimate political purpose is served by any of this--beyond some bizarre, eugenics driven, authoritarian Great Reset that doesn’t conform to normal politics as previously understood?
What kind of a plan is it that involves driving highly trained doctors and nurses out of their jobs? Pushing retail workers and service workers out of work? And importing vast numbers of disease ridden third worlders--measles infested Afghans.

Yep, losing my out-of-state job in about 6 weeks -- they decided not to renew my contract. Refusing to vax, refusing to test. That's okay, I'm in a state that actually upholds my constitutional rights and has made employment contingent on the jab as illegal. Plenty of jobs here, closer to home, where my tax dollars will now stay!
